Oct 12, 2008 3:23 am Report Abuse

I have 4300 chips. 30/60 blinds

I limp into the pot with Q 9 from Cut off 1

Everyone else barring BB folds. BB had 1400 chips left

The flop comes over Q 9 6 rainbow.

I bet 300.

He calls.

The turn comes over a 7. He pushes all in..

What do I do ?

what is representing? Did he really call 300 on that flop with 8 5 or 8 10 ---
I guess the question i have for you is it a free roll or a real tournament?
Not very likely that he is holding trip Qs or trip 9s since you have one of each
maybe he spiked trip 6s or even sicker trip 7s but if thats the case you are still have a redraw with a Q or a 9. Im guessing he has a str8 draw and wants to take the pot here and now with that bet.

but lets do the math your limp of 60 his BB of 60 and the SB 30 makes it 150 in the pot Your big over bet on the flop of 300 his call 300 makes it $750 in the pot. So he pushed $1100 into the pot on the turn making the pot $1850 and its costing you $1100 laying you 1.6 to 1 on your money -- I feel like you are ahead-- but if he does have the str8 or trips you are drawing to only 4 outs with one card to come roughly 12% so you are not really given the right odds to justify the call!!! Unless you really really just put him on the str8 draw..

I called.

He had pocket 7s..

Not sure why he called the 300 bet but he did and I lost...

Depends on how many times you raised his blind before. If the BB was a guy who was getting tired of you stealing his blinds he could have possibly tried making a stand with something as flimsy as T-8 suited. However if he is the aggressor in most pots he could just now have the draw. It all depends on your read of him but you have a very strong hand.

i would call he probley has a Q and the flush draw
Fcumred Oct 12, 2008 3:51 am

I had only played three hands, one with a flopped flush which trebled me up with two callers. The other two I limped and folded after the flop so he didnt really have htat much of a read on me. It was still quite early in the tournie

If it is early enough that neither of you have a read on each other's play I would tend to give an all-in a hell of a lot of credence.

BB has 10-8 fold, i would not have "LIMPED" any way theres the first mistake...

Q

Instacall. 7 does nothing, unless he has 108 - which is a possibility with double gutshot. Don't know what he's like, but most likely he raises with 77 preflop, and I think he tries to get more value out of trips anyways. Most likely though, with Q9, you have him beat
