Stats, are they any good?

Oct 11, 2008 10:02 pm Report Abuse

Out of 109 Hands played,
Hand Won: 24%
Showdowns Won: 86%
Flops Seen: 28%
Win % if Flop Seen 50%

Is that good? Tell me why if you really know how to read Stats?

28% of flops seen is a bit high for most people. It reflects a looser style of play than most would attempt, 18% to 22% is normal for a Lion style player. Some Jackal players will see 35% to 40%, or more, while a mouse will only see 8% to 12%. The typical Eagle style player would be in the 15% range, while the Elephant style player will be in the 20% to 25% range. These numbers are base on average tables, and over an amount of time, any style player can be catching hands on any given day, and see above their normal range, and card dead players can fall below average.

....play on ...Tc....

I think the stats just help keep you in check...If you usually see 20% but are only seeing 14% tonight, you might think about loosening up. I use it to slow myself down...I usually see between 25% and 33%.

The real thing to keep an eye on is your Win if Flop Seen...keeping it over 50% is GOOD, letting it drop below 33% is BAD. If you've got a 60% Win/flop rate and you are seeing 70% of the flops...WHY SLOW DOWN!
