5$ bubble contest!

Oct 10, 2008 10:50 pm Report Abuse

i will make a simple contest where the winner will recieve 5$ from my pokerstars account. this questions are very simple and you will have 24 hours to reply this post if you wanna participate.

the questions are : how is your reaction after bubbling in a multi table tournament? what do you feel when you are in a very difficult situation, like for example playing a 1000 multi table tournament were 100 cashed, and 103 left and you are 102. how do you control this preasure??? after bubbling in a tournament do you play inmediately another tourny or just wait a couple of hours? can you stand that the long chipstacks players steal your blinds or you just went tilt and play all in with bad combinations???

the best answer chosen by me will win 5$ from my pokerstars account... maybe there will be 2 winners that will recieve 2.50 each...

good luck all!!!

StormLindgren Oct 10, 2008 10:57 pm
Im usually tilted after bubbling what I usually do to cheer myself up is to donk it up in some PAD freerolls on FTP nbsp; Nothing makes ya feel better then knocking ppl out with the same donks hands people knocked you out with lol

usually step away from computer--breathe deep, learn from play and jump back in another tourney--players stealing blinds --part of it--just be patient--eventually they will try and steal and BAM- you wake up with hand and get all their chippies!! i like to give compliments__G catch, nice hand etc--it messes with players who are playing donk style!

I always just laugh it off and go to bed!

lately I turn off the computer go for a walk to clear my head. So I walk out to the hen house and kick a chicken, then walk out the pig pen and kick a pig and then head for the pasture and kick a cow. Everyone around me pays for me being the bubble girl again When I'm done I go back inside and try again. Just kidding about kicking the animals but a fence post may get bruised now and then.

I tend to grunt and turn green while growing in size. when im about 8-9 feet tall i crush the monitor with the palm of my hand and walk outside (walk through the door in fact) and rip out the telephone poll in fron of the house (the phone company doesnt really like this but i tell them what happen and they are like: "wtf, omg, lol" and let it pass. so i take said telephone poll and and aim for the dude in timbuktu that beat my AQs with 39o and throw the poll... this usually doesnt work but it helps me cool down. Now im only about as mad as a tazmanian devil on crack speed and lsd.

i proceed to punch everybody i come across in the face which sends them flying and i laugh. haha. this is funny. im getting calmer by the millenium.

when i get my color back i go buy me a new computer by flexing my biceps... the salesman is nice enough to give me a 100% discount. then i punch himin the face for good measure.

on the way home i start shrinking and after i set up my computer i log onto railbirds.

im completly calm now

i create a blog titled: "MOTHERFUCKING DONKEYS AND POKERSTARS IS RIGGED!11!! WTF

Well i think everyones reactions also consists of damn played so long for nothing lol, but someones got to be the bubble and im sure we all have been right along that bubble before, not to long ago i was playin a tourney live and went to my hotel room and played online and i think i played 2 tourneys life and like 4 online, i was bubble boy of 3 of them online and 1 live thankfully i did good in the other live so it made up for it, but i usually just think if i could have done anything different or better, but then i usually listen to music and play a single table sng to increase my odds of gettin my money back lol, oh and if you rub your finger/fingernail on a poker chip it helps calm you down cool fact huh?? well i hope you didnt bubble but if you did better luck next time

I normally just hop in my car and drive over to a friend's house, grab a beer out of the fridge and step out onto the back patio where his two dogs run and play. Sip my beer and kick whichever dog comes over first. You see, I don't have a dog of my own so I have to go over there........and , there's always beer in his fridge!

* No dogs were harmed during the posting of this message. ( Or ever for that matter, lol)

If your a really good player you take it in stride and move on. You don't want to play when your mind is not on the game and your still thinking about the last game. I say wait a few hours. You will be relaxed and ready for the new players. You have to remember your playing with donks, and no matter what you can't be thrown off by dumb plays or jackass calls. You have to remember the game plan, and know 1st place is the only place you want. Thanks Ghost

no u turn green and punch people. the pros do it all the time
jasonallen28 Oct 11, 2008 12:05 am
My reaction usualy is a bit of cursing, taking a couple of deep breaths and then take a play another one!
ZzRick Oct 11, 2008 12:08 am
My reaction is just sitting there staring at the screen just not believing it. And then after that i just go and try again. I can stand them i mean its standard play however i will be pissed.

Well bro the best advice i can give you is to be patient and that comes with practice. Learning to manage feelings is also important in this game but that comes with practice! alot of practice. The exciting part about poker is that every time you sit in a table live or online you will put your game in a new situation and no matter wich decition you make you will learn from it. Always remember that mistakes are opportunities to improve.

Bets advice how to play in the bubble?
1. If you are big stack bully short stacks cuz you know they wont risk all their chips unless they have a monster.
2. If you a re middle stack just play position and wait ¿why risk all your time in one hand?
3. If you are short stack get ready to play short stack ninja poker!!! That means get ready to put all your chips in tha middle with any Ace or something familiar.

guilty to all the above! I know I know i know what I am supposed to do but...........Oh my all i cann afford to play in anymore are the 10 cent- 360 to 10000 player free rolls...so sad! but alas I can get down through them all and do bubble out either from just plain tired of playing to blinding out!. What is funny is one minute i am chip leader...the next short stacked. I occassionally have been known to blow my cool.......but is rare. I try to take each game as a new game and not bring the old into the new.

So..most of the time i just go right back in to be bubbled again......... it takes about 5 hours of play to hit the bubble...i rarely multi table only if there are two good freerolls on at the same time. i have pretty much given up on the RB freerolls cause the players are just too good at poker!...Poker is a fun, challenging game 89% of the time. the other 12% may find me in tears for a short moment on what a dummy I was...On the bubbling...I do have to say that now I've learned to pretend i am sitting out when it gets close to the money and i do no longer care how good my cards may look... I fold.....but hey 20 cents is 20 cents! I even qualified for a TOC but alas not even a dollar to be able to get in.......again am not belly aching just that is life and I take life as it comes. And lastly but not leastly I rarely ever tilt anymore just quietly fade off into the ethernet LOL. That is the biggest thing I learned from railbird blogs. It makes people insanely mad when people tell bad beats.I wish to not make anyone insane.is not fun to be insane!....Gl e1. D.E.

I think it is easier in a large group of people not to bubble than a small amount. I like to sit back and watch them attack each other. I will often fold large hands just to not be involved in it. I just let my blinds go. If also use the time clock at this time and all my free time I get. I was in a situation one time where I was blinded and caught a really good hand and was the least chipped and got pushed all in. I wore the clock down as far as I could, and kept checking to see if that last person went out yet. But they had not... I folded. That next hand someone went out. And I cashed. I rather not be in that situation I was in. It is very stressful. But I find that sitting back sometimes and watching them take one another out.... and just sit out mostly... Can pay off in big tournys. In Midnight madness I was almost always the last person one game. I ended up in 33rd and cashing for about 80 dollars by doing all in's after the bubble, timing is key!!! good luck
adammcman Oct 11, 2008 1:29 am

well well welll THE BUBBLE OUT SUCKS LOL we all know that

the best way I find is to try and look at what i did wrong in my game what caused me to bubble what hands i could have played better what reads on the other players I made what they had wtf I was doing

I try and think of those first then I get mad if its my fault or a donks fault flip my lid on myself or the donk or calm down and try 2 smaller tournys
