Railbirds call to action

Oct 10, 2008 9:46 pm Report Abuse

How many blogs must be written concerning the growing problem with the freerolls before RB is going to step up and fix the problem? There have been countless solutions offered by members, and members volunteering to help in many ways. I understand it may not be an easy fix, but it is a situation that needs to be addressed. The refusal to act has affected the majority of members as evidenced by the number of blogs about it. The site is doing a disservice to its members and essentially helping the guilty parties to diminish the integrity of this site and online poker in general. Whats being played in the freerolls now is not poker. I have visited the sites where the pw is posted, and right now RB is the biggest joke in online poker forums. Their forum is full of poker forum passwords, but none get the attention of the RB passwords. It is publicly posted for them to "disturb RB games in whatever manner possible". The loyal members of RB deserve better than what we have received. It is time for RAILBIRDS.COM to address the issue, the sooner the better.

Understand this is not a problem for the prorails to fix, they dont get paid for all the things they already do for us. This is a problem for the site ownership to fix, and the time has come for action!!!!

mora19_66 Oct 10, 2008 9:53 pm

It has gotten sad I came here to get away from the fools at the reg. sites I played at and thought this would be a good place to learn and play a friendly game, so sad I only got to enjoy that for such a short time before all the riff raft came pouring in. Now free rolls are like playing at any other site sad to say. I know we all have been thinking hard including the prorails to stop this, and I guess some might be right It will always be. So now when I go to a table I take the rb's friend request with me I make notes on those I can find that are real railbirds and try to cross check those who do not show, no much help but I'll be darn if I will say nice hand or gg to someone who did not belong there in the frist place. lmbo Now I feel better .

Well said gorden, it has been very frustrating. I am glad see the site is now looking at a solution

Just a thought , we are spending a lot of time demanding action on the topic of FREE games .

The guy who puts the cash up is going to do what he wants to do .Not to make light of the issue .. i ain't happy about the hostile idiots either. Its so easy to join and so much fun to be a member. I can't figure out why they don't want to be a part of RB's .

Lets just keep things in perspective is all I am saying ,.

yes, it's time....but unfortunately the easiest fix to having non-members in our freerolls is to have no freerolls....................
gorden71 Oct 10, 2008 10:23 pm
yeah Jeff that would be the easiest fix, but would not be an advantage to the site. There are many members who sign up only for the freerolls, then find out what else we have to offer. Without the freerolls those people would not come, and the profit for the owners is greatly diminished.
saffyremyst Oct 10, 2008 10:29 pm
i agree totally...and hope this is fixed very soon
SHERRY524 Oct 10, 2008 10:50 pm
I think the reason they hate us is because we are banding together. Other fourms they crash dont have the community spirit we do.
gorden71 Oct 10, 2008 10:57 pm
The guy that originally called for help disrupting RB games is someone who was banned here.
Annie-up Oct 10, 2008 11:03 pm
Right now there is a non rail bird in and only 96 peeps left in tourney they have only a little over ten tho in chips but they are still in also one at the same table with over 37, tho I can't find on rb site yes they might have a hidden id here I know, just plain crazzy stuff.

I hear your point.. the problem is not that we are a joke tho.. look at it this way.. people are trying to steal OUR passwords.. why.. cuz we are some of the closest people around and some of the best poker players around. They want in on our tourney's cuz... well.. we are the the community that is leading the way for poker forums!

Im not condoning these theives get them, but they are only stealing ours. Makes me proud tobe a member. Hows bout u?

topcat1954 Oct 10, 2008 11:27 pm

Think about this for a minute....The biggest reason for hate....is jealousy ! Those other forums are all jealous of what Railbirds is to so many of it's members ! What they want is to disrupt the games, as well as cause dissention amoung the members here, and we can't let that happen !

This blog is an example of their success ! Members demanding change, and upset because of the pirates who invade the Railbird freerolls. This is giving THEM a victory ! We have what they want, and because some of them use to be members, and got banned for failing to follow the rules, they don't want ANYBODY to be able to enjoy what we have here !

As was stated by cptmorgan, the admin and prorail team are working on a solution, and if we can all keep our cool, and be patient, there will be action taken to curb their ability to disrupt our games, as well as our site ! Don't let them have these little victories ! They can't win the war, and without small victories like this, they can't even continue to have an effect on us at all !

We have heard your complaints loud and clear, and the ownership of this site is well aware of the problem, but it isn't something that can be fixed overnight, and any action has to be thought thru, and planned to the letter, so PLEASE people, just have a little more patience, and quit giving in to these disrupters ploys to upset our applecart !

....Topcat.....

T.C. Welcome to the coarse culture created by internet communities. Just another reason I like to play live B&M instead.

You can all be assured that there WILL be solutions soon. It's in Joe from Ireland's best interest to keep all of you happy here and clicking his links.

For now, Cheers! Alan Chiras; Key West.

I have a lot of faith that the ownership and admin are going to do something. They are always willing to help ban those that post the pw. The guy that posted todays was banned. They are always willing to help verify the thieves by checking e-mail addresses and other items that must be filled in when becoming railbirds. A lot of that information is published on other sites they join and can be cross referenced. When that information confirms who they are on railbirds then they are gone.

Patience is something we need to learn to play better poker. Patience is something we need to win this fight to.

Working as a team will help eliminate them and we railbirds make a good team. We will prevail.
RichsGirl187 Oct 11, 2008 12:11 am
Yes, MANY options have been forwarded to us, but so far they are all not feasible.

If there was a way to fix the problem, it would have already been implemented. We are trying to come up with something.

Only sound solution for this at this point is stop the games and let the password thieves think about it then.
PapaPower Oct 11, 2008 1:08 am
Has anyone given any thought to issuing a confirmation number rather than a password? The confirmation number could be set up for 'single' use. That way, posting it would be a moot point as it would be valid only one time.
