PW thief hatred in my blood

I have just recently discovered why I hate password thieves and refuse to give up in my quest to destroy them.
My sister is an avid genealogy researcher. She recently discovered on ancestry.com that our great great great great grand father had made at trip on the Oregon Trail at the age of 65. His name was Nimrod O'Kelly. He staked out a claim of 640 acres in the Wilamette Valley in Oregon. He was the first person to stake a claim in the area of what is now Corvallis, Oregon. Soon other settlers started coming in. One of them staked out a claim in the middle of his property, but never even tried to record it.
Nimrod was the only Catholic in the area and the neighbors were trying to harass him into leaving. This man was a known bully and it was discovered that some of the town folk had paid this guy to settle on Nimrods claim.
Nimrod was 71 years old at this time and was being confronted and threatened by this 32 year old man. One day during a confrontation Nimrod shot him with his shot gun. Nimrod was put on trial for murder. This was the first murder trial in the Wilamette Valley. Nimrod was found guilty by his neighbors and sentenced to hang.
For 5 years Nimrod fought this through the appeals courts and in the meantime the state surveyed the state and it was proven that the culprit was indeed trying to move into Nimrod's claim. Nimrod was eventually given a pardon by the Governor of Oregon after serving two years in the new Prison.
Hating the claim jumpers that crash our tournament's is just in my blood.
Now you know the rest of the story.

Wow Button that is so interesting. Glad it worked out but wow is all I can say.
Yes You are our bounty hunter here on Rail Birds and we all are greatful for your watching eyes. tc
Way cool story, and fighting for what is ours, is a commendable action, as was your ancestors !
....Tc....
Good thing your ancestor wasn't black or native american. Doesn't this way of looking at things seem familiar . . My ancestor was driven off of his lands and then forced to change his life style, learn a new language and a new way of dressing and and a different way of acting, etc. We've all (or most of us) had ancestors who were unfairly treated.
Password thieves are not bout or connected to the past, they're right now and affecting me personally and railbirdsmembers.
Good enough reason for me all by itself.
Stiill no capital T ! lol
Good luck on the tables!
What a great story! I am so glad your great great great great grandfather prevailed. So often this is not the case and the wrong people end up winning. Please keep up your watch for the password thieves.

I don't understand why some of you get so mad over these passwords. The freerolls really aren't that big to be honest. I was once in a 10k freeroll with like 60 people in it which makes that the equivelant of about a $ 160 buy in... now if people stole passwords to get into that game non legit I would have a right to get mad.
Secondly, OMG Nimrod really!!! I thought I had the only ancestor named that. My grandfather on my mothers side was named Nimrod. (hence Nem is a great nickname for MyNemesis) because my grandpa went by Nim.
and last but not least, Love the Paul Harvey sign off!!!
Steph, it appears that his property had bluffs over looking it and from the description may have the old Highway 99 running through it now. I say that because it mentions that Nimrod used to sat on his front porch watching the new settlers moving to and from the cities to the south. That trail seemed to be used by all in those days.
He claimed 620 acres because you could claim 320 acres for your wife and 320 for yourself. The neighbors felt he was fudging and lying about having a wife still in Missouri because he had been there living alone for 7 years until his neighbors were surprised to seen the rest of the family show up. The family was relieved that he hadn't been hanged yet.
There were no jails at that time and he was kept in various homes by people whom the county had to pay to keep him. They finally allowed him to run loose and live on his own property during this time to save money. He even showed up on the day his execution was scheduled on his own to discovered that it had postponed. The day before he was even allowed to inspect the gallows to see if it was built properly because he didn't want his hanging to be botched by poor workmanship.
I've almost quit reading and posting in the PW thief blogs. Read this because it was B'Dog's blog.
Why? The 'primary' in this situation has not done anything about it - Railbirds. They continue to send PW's to thousands of 'so-called' members. Most admin comments are that the SITES won't do anything. It's not up to them. It's up to the forum to protect their PW's. If you do online banking, or even a PW for your poker site account, it is up to YOU/us to keep our PW safe, not the bank or site.
PW theft is no surprise. These are the same people that park in handicapped spots, shoplift from stores, cut you off on the freeway, ding your car door in the parking lot, think it's cute for their dog to do his biz in YOUR yard, etc. They have no respect in life, why would they online?
In actuality, does the site admin even care? The objective and profit factor for a forum is new members. Head count. It's all about the numbers. Until RAILBIRDS makes a definitive move, nothing will change.
There is another forum that DID do something. Their FR entries dropped from 1,000 to under 100. It has since increased a little when the real members adhered to rules changed by THE FORUM operator.
It's not all admin fault either. It's more 'chicken and egg' theory. Money for FR's comes from new members and link-clicks. Can RailJoe make bold moves to cut the number of FR entries without endangering his forum income? What do we think pays for the FR's?? I doubt that RailJoe digs deep in his philanthropic pocket to support the cost.
Sure, I'd like to see all RB members in the FR's - but it's not likely. They are, afterall, FREE, to the tune of ~$75,000 from RailJoe.
Freekin cool story.. have ur sister look into the "Pullsinelli" family. Originally migrated to the US from Italy during the prohibition period to handle the trafficing of alcohol into the Ohio area. They became the best mafia mob in town for over 45 years... then decided to chill and be legitmate, running the bars once the prohibition period had ended. My uncle Paully died a few days ago from a massive stroke, leaving his son to run the "business" the Pullsinelli's have left behind. To this day.. I can count on my second cousin "Paully Jr." for help.
Want me to have him handle a few password theives? Tee Hee.
