Even if someone is making a move you shouldn't call it with high card just in case. Keep people honest by calling them with showdown value.

Even if hes making a "move" you aren't that big of a favorite... its not like he cracked ur aces... you are somewhere around a 60% favorite which isn't that much... nice call tho but its a high variance call

He made a bad move by trying to steal the blinds with those cards, but why call with two cards that can't connect even if one of them is an ace?
riverqueen1972 Oct 10, 2008 6:01 am

Well, whether you think he is making a move or not, you just risked your tournament on a very bad ace. A call with A K ... even A Q suited, maybe... but not A 6 offsuit. I assume he was making a lot of raises/all-ins preflop, and pehaps you were sick of folding, but its better to fold than have to sit there looking at the terrible pair he caught with a bad call, and not be able to just leave the table because you have 25 chips left! I dont know how many times Ive folded QQ, JJ, 10/10...and AK or AQ when someone goes all in ...

Do as Kenny Rogers said....".... know when to fold 'em...."

And better luck next time.

it was a 27 person sit and go. i had ten BB. blinds were raising to 300/600 in less than a minute.

this was the 3rd time he raised my blind (sat at the final 2 tables with him) he is a bad player and i knew i had him beat when he just shoved on me. so i had to call to set myself up with the win. but he took it down i believe. here is a hand he played.
