Double or Nothings...

Oct 9, 2008 5:03 pm Report Abuse

I just wanted to post a hand history here...to show that even when you get yourself into trouble and a short stack, reading your table and determining how the blinds will affect your opponents can help you a lot. Also, I cut out a lot of info to keep it short...only the key hands I played (or didn't, in this case) are shown fully. It's still long, so I apologize for that...

**DISCLAIMER** yes, I played this one poorly up to this point, which is why I was short-stacked in the first place. I get into last place here and have to recover as best I can...making some key decisions and realizations in the process. Long and short, these are ridiculously easy money if you keep your wits about you!

I’m so short stacked here that no matter what I have, I’m going to get at least one call, but I still haven’t gotten anything remotely decent since that Q-10 I folded a few hands ago. Then it occurs to me that Imperialismo is going to be all-in blind next hand…

Nice post, there is a valuable lesson to be learned here, and several birdies need it !

....play on ....Tc.....

that's really tense stuff when you are trying to manage your micro stack against someone else's micro. especially with the blinds coming around so quickly.

good job!
