ONLINE VS> LIVE POKER

Oct 8, 2008 10:06 pm Report Abuse

I lived in lasvegas for 5 yrs.I was a big advocate for LIVE poker only.My friends and myself thought online poker was for suckers only.I moved to arlington,TN and found myself missing poker so I gave it a try.Though online poker is differnt I have been extremly succesful..I started with $0.00 and in the past 60 days I have over $130.00 today.Though I wont tell you a lie i still miss big LIVE games in LASVEGAS..The reading of people playing is total different, instead of seeing there reacions you have to rely on whate you see them play and you can tell pretty Quickly who understands the game or if they are just lucky. So I says yes to online poker now after 60 days it works for me..ANY other coments on this I would like to read about it..........

I live in NC, so live poker isn"t an option except for home games. Congrats on your success.

I live in Texas so Online is mostly what we have here - I have to like it (lol). Seriously though, I wish we did have real card rooms (not just underground ones and home games). I do prefer live. Sometimes though, I do like online better - when I don't want to go out and just want to pop in and play a SNG or smaller tournament. For cash games though, I would prefer live for sure. I also prefer live for really big tournaments.

One of the big differences is that online the high stakes tournaments will cost as much as the low stake buy-ins at the casino.

I like both and I would be at the casino every night if I didn't have to stay home and take care of my 91 year old Mom. I live just four miles from one.
