Double or nothing

Oct 7, 2008 2:15 am Report Abuse

I'm sure someone has covered this but I'm new to the site. For those new to real money, the double or nothing sit and go on Pokerstars is a nice way to build up your cash while giving you 50/50 odds to do so. It's a 10 player table and half the players cash. I played in a $2.20+$0.20 PLO tourney yesterday, my first one. The top 5 receive $4.00 and it ends when 5 players are left. So you can play slow, you don't have to build a large stack. Just enough to make the top 5. I think it's a nice way to add some money to your account, especially for new players and those who have a smaller bankroll to work with. If you're a solid player, you can add at least $10-$15 to your account a day by playing in a few. It's nice that they are sit and go's so you can play whenever you want.

I played my first Double or Nothing the other day. It was a $5 buy-in PL Omaha one and I barely made it in the money. I'll probably start playing more of the NL Hold 'em ones. I agree with you, these are a nice way to build up your bankroll.

These are ridiculously easy. I've played 28 and cashed in 24 of them. Stars just lowered the rake on them too, so now they are even more profitable.

In 4 days of playing these my Yahoo mail box was so full of notices that I had won, that I had to start a new folder to keep them in !
