I am able to lay down AK easly in MTT tournys early but find it more difficult to lay it down in later rounds.I need some feed back or am I doing right by playing more agressivly in later rounds with my AK or should I fell free to lay it down in these situation no matter the rounds in tournys..

later in the tourney, most players are tighter and you should be able to get better reads post flop

Well, late in tournaments you are usually either sitting pretty with a big stack or your are short stacked. So the situation determines what action you should take. For example with 16 players left the pay out increases dramaticly when one more player busts out. So, what do you do if you are short stacked? or, if you have a heavy stack? Very tough to decide.

The problem most players have late in an mtt is the huge blinds, in short time a big stack can become a small stack and vise versa. A big stack must be cautious, but also he must play in order to keep his big stack. So, you would have to make your determination on more than just one criteria. Yes, most players will only hit flop 20% of the time; but, does it mean you have to keep mucking potential winning hands?

I beleive the most important determination is your read on your opponent. Agianst a solid player anything is foldable, but against a loose opponent many hands are playable.

I suggest anyone with questions like this one should go to SunTzuPoker.com It is a really well laid out site with just about everything you really need to know about poker. Including how you may want to play hands like A-K
You should really check it out
