u really cant get away from that hand unless you have more chips and you can lay down on the river. when you turn the str8 you cant fold you have to put it in like you did cuz you cant leave yourself with 400 in chips. that is my opinion.. you were to invested to lay it down. gl and play on.

Not too much you can do here..............just some bad luck my friend. Matty was the BB and desided to take a look, with limpers. Once he had the 4 diamonds he stayed..............seems like no way out for either of you.

Take care and good luck.

Actually calling puts you with less than two orbits, so if you are going to play, open for a raise and hope to chase out the blinds, in my opinion.

Agree, nothing you could have done here. With an M of just about 2,5 you were kinda desperate to play a hand and with KQos here you should have openend with a raise, hoping to get the blinds or see a flop and flop big. That's the only mistake you made in this hand, which could have been fatal. For the rest nothing you could have done here.

I think by just min raising on the turn u did nothing but give the villain ever more of a reason to call u. U probably didn't have enough money to take him off the hand, but next a bigger raise would help u win that pot before the showdown!

In my opinion the mistake you made in the hand was preflop. When the blinds are that high you should almost always raise preflop. Two good things will happen when you do this. 1. It tells your opponants to watch out you have a hand you really like and want to play and they better have a good hand if they want to play with you. 2. You can steal blinds which you need to do at this level in order to maintain your chip stack.

By giving you opponant a free look at the flop he picked up a flush draw and likely would have called an all in raise on the flop.

If I were playing the hand this would have been what my thinking would have been and what I would have done. I am short stacked with less than 10 times the big blind so my options are limited. If I raise preflop, close to half of my stack will be in and if I miss the flop or am reraised I just gave away a big chunk of my stack. So raising is not a good option. That leaves an all in bet or a fold. Since I am in the steal position (last player before the button) I like the all in play here for two reasons 1. I am very likely to steal the blinds. 2. If I do get called I will hopefully have live cards and not be a huge underdog. I am going to blind out before long and this hand looks like a good one to make a stand with. If I was in an earlier position it would be an easy fold for me since there would be more players to act behind me and a bigger likelyhood of one of them having a hand that could beat me.

Just my thoughts, I hope they help.

well, i don't know if iverson noticed, but this a limit game....i have to agree with bloodsong, maybe a raise drives out the bb, but then again, maybe not...better luck next time

With that stack, in that position, in that game....hit the sit out button before it was dealt, and get up and go to the bathroom, otherwise, you are done with this game !

....play on ...Tc....

BAT

The point of the raise wasn't to give bad pot odds to the BB and drive him out. It was a pure aggression play preflop by a short stack. A raise in that position says "I have a hand I am willing to stack off with. How strong is your hand?" That sort of aggression is usually picked up better in limit than in no limit when it comes in early position. Then again this was a freeroll so it may have just been donkaholic play by the BB......

raise preflop. Other than that cant get away
