JUST A POEM OF MY OWN

Taking a seat at our freeroll one night
I can’t stop thinking,” this feels like my night!”
Two donks, a cat, and one puppy all white
Poop throwing Chimps, evil gnome to my right
Cards coming out in a minute or two
Shuffled, and counted and each one brand new.
I type “Good Luck” it’s just something I do
All I get back is an “F” and a “U”
Being told that is the least of my shocks
Seated behind me's a chicken that talks
Raising the bet against card playing rocks
Trying to bluff some guy wanting to box
Dealt cards so good I don’t think I can lose
Flop brings the only three cards I can’t use
Turn, check, then river, just bring more bad news
Lost 60 chips to a gnome with three 2’s
Some how I hide the excitement I felt
Seeing two aces that I have been dealt
Flop is all clubs and my aces just melt
I'm beat so badly it raises a welt
Ace king and suited, I limp right on in
Then watch 6 players push everything in
Two, pair their ladies, top kickers a 10
9000 chips I watch the mutt win
Filling up seats so our table can play
One shirtless guy who is flamingly gay
Pirate, a shark, and to top off my day
A gnome and a monkey are headed this way
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not about race
There really is no reason to get on my case
I bite my tongue as the gnome takes his place
Knowing he sees the disgust on my face
Block out the chatter just like it is muted
Better I play, the sooner they’re booted
Finally I call with a 7-ace suited
400 chips from my stack end up looted
Rag after rag I just fold them away
Waiting for cards I believe I should play
Watching my stack slowly melting away
I start to see “this just isn’t my day”
Finally forced in with two cards that I hate
Wishing I’d mucked em, but now it’s to late
They were all fishin and I took the bait
No pair, and low kicker it seems is my fate
Behind the rail not a chip or a chair
A hole in my gut and this stupid blank stare
Poker is stupid, and life isn’t fair
I would go on but this site says “don’t swear”
