one i have picked up on live.. is if you watch your players and they are players who like to play with there chips during hands.. and then they stop playing with em and cover there cards with there hands.. its is a sign there hand is strong. people instinctively cover things they want to keep. i guess thats where capping the cards comne into effect i see why thats a good idea if you do it everytime your in a hand you cant get that tell.

In live action you will learn more watching what people do with their hands, and their posture, than anything else !

I agree with both of you,.. my dad taught me to cover my cards with a chip to prevent cheaters from tossing their muck onto my cards as a "mistake" and invalidating my hand. not sure that still happens but he played in many weird and dangerous places. now maybe its a tell?,.. great post ruuskiy but if you want to know most of the tells at the poker table and some actually pertain to real life things also ..... This book is Awesome ........ I am sure you have heard of the Author before he rights many columns in magazines also ( Card Player ) and some others .......... Again if you think that you do good knowing tells then I seriously recommend buying and reading this book

This book only costs around $25 ..... but it is well worth it

It is amazing the tells that people give and don't realize it LOL ........ I bought the book read a few chapters and went and played a couple games the same night LMAO .... I ended up coming home a winner

Mike Caro is the best at tells

Well Best of luck to ya and have fun

I agree with Hick's recommendation. Mike Caro runs a thing called Mike Caro University down at Hollywood Park Racetrack. He has a variety of books and products for sale. The Poker Tells book is also available on video, and offered in packages coupled with videos of his poker seminars.

I remember my first four of a kind in a casino. There was no way to stop my hands from shaking. A couple hands later I happened to notice someone else with that exact same sudden hand tremor and he had quads too. It was the first time I actually recognized a tell and reinforced the need to really pay attention to more than the cards out and how to play my hand.

Thanks for scanning and posting this! Always an interesting aspect of the game!

thanks for recomendation, definetly getting the book. I think in the live games reading people is one of most important skills. Also good to is good to learn how to give a wrong tell
