It's been a Great night

Sep 30, 2008 10:48 am Report Abuse

I just wanted to share with this great poker community what a great night it's been and to thank everyone that has played a part in helping me grow as a player. Tonight started with a cash in the 2-7 limit triple draw, $200 Railbird Freeroll, earlier this evening. It Seem's placing 23rd was a theme for me tonight.

Since I already had the Pokerstars application open, I scrolled through the Freeroll section and saw that the Cassini's Limit Stud Freeroll was starting up in about half an hour and registered. I somehow managed to get past the early stage of the tournament with all of it's 3 betting on every turn of the card. I was more surprised to see I was still in it by the first break ... then the 2nd break. I slowly, but steadily crept my way up into contention for the final 88 that would recieve an entry into the Weekly Round 2 Tournament. Next thing I know, up comes the "Now Playing Hand for Hand ..." starting at 93 left. I caught a few more decent hand's and beefed my chip count up to nearly $100,000 before geting moved to a table with 3 of the top 10 on the leader board. Ante's were sitting at 3,000 and the stacker's were punishing the shortie's.. (myself included by comparison.) I managed to hang on for a short time longer and managed to finish ............................ Yep, you guessed it. 23rd

Taking a tournament down definitely feel's fantastic, but back-2-back 23rd's doesn't feel so bad either.

Thanks again to those who have helped make this night as well as other's possible. Since coming to Railbird's, my game has steadily improved. Much of the improvement has come through the reading of informative blog's on strategies and other pointer's, Daily Quiz's and playing with fellow railbird member's who, from my own experience, play at a enjoyably higher level than most of the other site tournament's played in. (Other than the Password poacher's, who "donk" it up, of course.)

Best of Luck to all, on and off the felt's. Railbirds card: As Railbirds card: Ac
