GOODBYE SHEA STADIUM

Sep 29, 2008 4:37 am Report Abuse

Yes another new york city stadium closes today. This one im happy too see gone over the year the Mets have played havoc on the cubbies so Im glad there not in the playoffs and Shea is gone. The Mets will probably also start rebuilding there team this offseason so it will be interesting too see there team next year. Once again A stadium ive never been too so hopefully ill get too the new one. With all these stadiums going ill have too get out too Fenway before they tear that one down.

Which will be rebuilt first? The stadium or the team?

I took my son on his 16th B-Day to Shea. It was a dump but he and my girl loved it. The food and the absolute diversity of Flushings NY were awesome. Did the same at Yankee Stadium for Reggies monument induction. Wouldn't trade either for the world. Good experience.

Wrigley should be a national historic landmark.

Should the powers that be decide to rebuild it where would it go?

I don,t think they will close the pier for it, and there is not a lot of space left unless they move it to Gary IN
