Okay, I know this is totally unrelated to poker,
but I wanted to share this with my railbird friends.
This woman never ceases to amaze me, and has been a
HUGE influence on the person that I am today.
My mom and I lived with her for many years
growing up, and she taught me many incredible
things that I will never forget.
This is my great-grandmother. She will be 109
years old on February 11th. She has done
crazy things... gotten on a motorcycle for a
picture, stood behind an industrial lawn mower
for pictures, and every New Year's she poses for
one of those funky pictures with the glasses that
have the year on them... LOL... but this takes the
cake. She recently played the "Senior Games"
in New York.
Gram won medals for:
1. Being the oldest competitor
they ever had (gold medal)
2. Ring toss( gold medal)
3. Softball throw (silver medal)
4. Softball hit (silver medal)
5. Football throw (gold medal)
6. Frisbee golf (gold medal)
She also won Sergeant bars from the Staff Sergeant.
So she is now an Honorary Sergeant.
Here she is at the games (and showing off her medals!):
