He didn't think you had the 8 or a pocket pair 10 or higher...makes him an idiot?
Elmoooy Sep 27, 2008 5:05 pm
well i didnt include the comments he made because it was full of bad language, i guesss i should have mentioned that he called me a f donkey for doing this.
chasingbrat Sep 27, 2008 5:06 pm
dude u should of never posted this blog u are gonna catch hell for calling him a idiot
jsc88310 Sep 27, 2008 5:08 pm
yeah, what DB said....odds are that no one holding an 8 saw the flop.
Satus Sep 27, 2008 5:08 pm

Gui had a FH with a K kicker, bluffing is one of the most important aspects in poker, he was reading you wrong that was all, gotta give him credit for hangin in there with you to see the outcome. Nice hand but i would of done the same if i thought i had a read on you. Don't think it would class me as an idiot.

Gl on the felts.

Elmoooy Sep 27, 2008 5:09 pm
so you are saying its all right to call me names like a f... donkey for making that call?
dragonlake Sep 27, 2008 5:25 pm
Dude,I'm not laying down FH there for ANY money!!! He wasn't an idiot for staying in there but if he berated you later he WAS an idiot for that!!! It wasn't your fault for catching quads there!!! But he wasn't laying down FH just one of those things................DL
Elmoooy Sep 27, 2008 5:29 pm
And i said to him, that was a tough call i knew it was - and he all went tilt and blew out at me calling me a donkey - everyone is right it wasnt a bad call but when he started to call me a donkey, tell me how in world am i making a donkey call?
jsc88310 Sep 27, 2008 5:29 pm

No, rudeness isn't alright. If he called you a donkey, he was wrong, but calling him an idiot for making a decision based on the odds is wrong too. Nowhere in your post did you state that he called you names. You expected us to concur with you, labeling him an idiot, based on the hand history you posted. Like I said, the odds were with him on you not having the 8.

Tanatloc Sep 27, 2008 5:37 pm
Gui had a FH with a K kicker, How does that work?
Elmoooy Sep 27, 2008 5:41 pm
IM not sure what you mean Tan but I had four of kind, he only had a FH, later after the hand was completed, he started go off at me, calling me a fu... donkey for making that call.
Markie141 Sep 27, 2008 5:42 pm

Welll it looks to me like a small blind special ,

he let you in on his BB , you could have almost anything , gl

ButtonDog Sep 27, 2008 5:43 pm
You played the flopped quads beautiful with the check calls. He should have caught on right after the turn if not sooner.
gummer2004 Sep 27, 2008 5:43 pm
Don't forget you have to include your table image in his thinking, if you had just got busted bluffing, then he just didn't think you had it. If you have been a rock all day he wouldn't put you on an 8 since even the preflop call there is marginal at best (That being said if you don't think he is a good player, remember the saying don't tap the glass you will scare the fish)
REGULATOR0 Sep 27, 2008 5:44 pm
get over it ..............next hand !
Elmoooy Sep 27, 2008 5:48 pm
Thank you, thats what i was doing, not scaring the fish - checking on the flop and turn and then i wanted him to think i might have hit a 2 or something and i went all in, and he went after it.
topcat1954 Sep 27, 2008 5:54 pm

You used incorrect grammar in the title, it should read "AN", instead of "A "idiot....lol... You played it well, won the hand, and should be happy with that !..... If I had a nickle for every blog I have read like this one, you know, a waste of time and space, I would go buy myself a new Vette !

....Tc....

Fraggles Sep 27, 2008 7:33 pm
Yes I thought you played it well also, anytime someone checks and then continues to call large raises, you have to be suspicious that something is going on,
