Many of us have met people on here and created lifelong friendships, but that's certainly a whole 'nother blog in itself.
What I want to know is what are some of the things, poker related, that you have learned in your time here at Railbirds. It could be something as simple as patience or something more complex.
Let's all take a few minutes and let everyone know some of the things you've learned in helps of teaching others.
And let's keep this a very positive blog.

I have learned...
not to value top pair as much as I used to
)
to fold AA, KK or QQ( whatever) when I know I'm beat (mostly
to be more patient
that some people will play any 2 cards regardless of position (bless 'em)
that bad beats happen to good people
that all-in pre-flop is a crap shoot at best. Toss 'em in and pray
that I'm not as good as my press releases say I am
that I still have a lot to learn......
Railbirds Rule
There are people who will call a raise, re-raise and re-raise after a multiplayer hand and still think their hand is in front!
Or, alternatively, poker is rigged and even when you have quads on the flop you will still lose.
Position. Position. Position.
And everything in topcats most excellent blog post a couple of weeks back.
Ive learnt quite a few new games, HA, lowball, Razz, prob wouldn;t have even tried them without some help from here!!!
Railbirds Rocks
I've learned that no matter what i do, I cant play every hand. I have to fold some hands.
I've learned too be patient, sometimes.LOL
I've learned Railbirds rock.
Ive learned That sometimes luck , just wins.
Ive learned i make more bad plays when i'm drinking bourbon.LOL
Ive learned to expect someone to go all in the first hand of every FR tournament,
2. Just because they are suited doesn't make them gold mines.
3. Position play
4. Don't over value top pair.
5. Fold AA on the flop if the flop is a bad one with 3 suits or 3 of a kind.
6. Stay away from preflop all ins unless I'm about blinded out.
7. If Felt Smasher sits down at my table in a play money game get up and leave. He is a play money pro that will not minimum raise.
I'VE LEARNED TO PLAY MY BEST POKER NO MATER WHAT THE STAKES!!!
Gini, I have learned that if you do your best to try to share what you know about the game in an effort to help the masses, there will be some narrowminded people who say you are a braggart, others who claim your advise is copied and pasted from other places, and some who try to discredit you in blogs. BUT, I have also found that those who your advise has helped to become profitable, send you the nicest PM's, thanking you for your efforts, and those PM's far outweigh the negative responses, the next time I sit down to write a blog !
The biggest thing I have learned here, is the fact that those who want to find help with their game will find it here, and those who think they know it all, always will ! I have never claimed to have all the answers, but at least I am willing to share what I know, and there are a whole lot more good players here that could do that too, if they just would !
....play on ...Tc....
Ive learned patience more than anything, and that a small percentage of online players think about position, which can be an advantage to the ones that do.
Great blog Gini!!!
i learned several new games as well. i never played Omaha or 2-7 triple draw until i signed up with railbirds. i also learned i think i am better at live poker but rarely have that opp. so here i am at the online tables.
I have learned a lot about bankroll management.
I have learned that I too should play more aggressive in certain situations.
I have learned that 7-2 off suit wins every time! Hahahaha.
I have learned that I will get beat by luck and I will win by luck occasionally.
THANKS
