Strange times

Has any one else gone thru this stage....

I was doing fairly well a couple of weeks ago but no I seem to have forgotten how to play poker. Everything I'm doing tight now is wrong right now, but I can't stop making really REALLY bad decisions! I'm playing lot less than I normally do so it is a kinda of break I guess....
I was just wondering have you ever done the same?

i hear ya not sure what i am doing wrong. i play alot on UB and had a somewhat of a nice BR. now im down to $7 and some change. i play the sngs and get sucked out on must of time. make a raise and some donkey goes all in pre flop? so for now i will play freerolls to make a change in my game. hope that will help me too. good luck in your gamming too.

Yes the same has happened to me! Taking a break is a good thing, i try and find other things to do(golfing, running, reading) to take my mind off it. Also i would recommend not playing in low buy in games. As Ma-Goo said below me he makes raises and people go all in pre flop, that is a characteristic of low buy in games. The players are not as good, and are more likely to be ready to gamble with you. Good luck in the future and remember that poker is suppose to be fun!

The key to playing poker....is not playing. Hey muck Kings every once in a while, it'll make you feel better when you see you would have in fact lost to those 3 A's that hit the flop.
