When Running Good Goes Bad

After several months of running good, the poker gods have rained on my parade. Came home $65 up from the hi/lo cash game but online play.....sigh. I play a lot of SNG's since I am self-employed. Often, have to consult with clients or do something at the drop of a hat so can't commit to longer tourneys. My ROI is pathetic since I often have to just drop out of games.
But, cash games were going well for me and the occasional placing in a SNG helped. The past few days I have been snake bit. Second best hands or totally card dead....
Since we all face this from time to time, my question is do you continue to play hoping your fortune will change? Or do you take a break? Being as I am a poker addict like many birdies, a break would be like losing a limb...lol. However, all suggestions appreciated.
TIA

I think it depends on if it is affecting your mood or not , sometimes I just play through it becasue it will pass , but if it is getting frustrating I take a break ,
I also will swtich buy in levels or I go to play stud hilo instead of my normal omaha hilo , sometimes switching games helps , if I really have a bad run I take a break and go play hearts or gin or something other card game lmaooo ,
another thing I do is switch between sites for a couple days so if I'm running bad on FT I go to Ps or Doyles , gl
You have too learn too control your addictions if your time is affected by it then you need too take a break. And check your mood if in your buisness life your mood is affected by your play then you need a break.
Personaly myself im ready too move on from poker I just dont have the time for it. But either way best of luck on your decision.
its a good time to minimize your losses and work on ur HU game, my advice; start playing micro buyin HU SnG's to polish ur HU game while still getting ur fix.
in the meantime, enjoy some fine cheese.....
