As I sit here in my office on this beautiful day in September, I think back at what occurred 7 years ago today. I break down each and every time I think about it and while I lost no one that was close to me or that I knew, I feel and my heart breaks for those families that have to relive this day year after year. While I am hopeful the pain has subsided a bit, they, no we will never forget.
One thing to always remember is in the midst of this tragedy is a testimony of the American spirit, of individuals who bravely and courageously were willing to endure additional risks and pay an ultimate price so that others would be more secure. That's the heroic tradition of law enforcement and public service in the United States of America. And it should be a testimony and inspiration to every American everywhere, to understand that public safety is everybody's business, and it's our opportunity to do those things that preserve our liberty and the integrity of what it means to enjoy the freedoms we call America.
So I leave you with this poem I found and pray for those lost.....
A deep memorial in our hearts,
of pain, of shame, of love, of blame,
In these mixed feelings we must admit.
Thou know none who's gone in vain.
Though people think they died in vain,
yet their legacy still lives today.
Of valour, of peace, of love, of courage,
These men gave their lives to serve and save.

True that
God Bless America
you never know when we will be attacked on our own soil.
I still feal sick and want to hurt those people who attacked us on this day.
To see the face of those who suffered it just kills me.
Bless those brave fire fighters and police and all the heros who contributed to saving as many as they could I tear up just thinking about it.
support our troops
support the right to bear arms you never know when we may be attacked again
