So last night my daughters goldfish finally went to the big pond in the sky!
We were thinking of replacing it with a doppleganger but the wife decied NO not again, she is six, she needs to learn about life, death and the whole life cycle thing.
Anyway it was agreed I would wait untill this morning and tell her the bad news. Me being me thought it would be a great idea to bring a little humour into it to lighten her mood and hopefully show her its just life and not to be too upset.
So when we got up this morning I said "Hey Boo lets play charades" and laid on the floor flapping and then played dead, she was guessing when her sister shouted, stood net to the now empty fishtank, "Boo its your fish", well lets just say her sister thought it was funny, the Wife and Boo did not.
This old dog is in the dog house again!

Spozzy, you have learned a very important lesson today about girls....there is no humor to a little girl even if its just a fish....you should have had a funeral and flushed him away...then buy her a new one... that is what I did for my little one when she lost her first fish.

OK, I have a question, what do you do when your two year old daughter doesn't want goldfish and kittens? Mine keeps asking for a boa constrictor for Christmas! Maybe my wife and I shouldn't have three already......?
