He called you a donk because he felt like one sucking out on the river like that. Top pair and then trips, he was praying for that 9. Don't let em get to you when they comment like that.
F1ngers Sep 8, 2008 8:56 am
Why were you playing K6?

Now I see it, they were soooted.
Markie141 Sep 8, 2008 9:07 am

I never call people names but raising to 1200 preflop with K6

suited or not is questionable , why he let you in I don't know, gl

Markie141 Sep 8, 2008 9:11 am
post flop your play was fine though , he got lucky there , gl

I was just trying to take some blinds but wasnt going to feel to bad if i see a blind call! But i floped top pair bet and i though he might have me but im commited!
Markie141 Sep 8, 2008 9:16 am

I don't know if I could have called with k with a 6 kicker for my

whole tourney on that flop though , now that I think about it ,

the turn was pretty sweet though but yeah all the cards count gl

OUCH you got sucked out there.

as F1ngers put it, why were you playing K6d? I'll add from middle position. You raise 1200(3x) preflop. You bet 1200 with a weak K and get reraised allin and you call. BAD MOVE!

What part of his allin did you consider that you were even ahead? You had no idea he only had 99 and had just dumped 40% of your stack on a marginal hand to a button caller pre-flop to a 3x raise. He pushes allin after you make a continuation bet and you call, WOW. AK, KQ, KJ, KT, let alone KK, AA, QQ, 44 all had you dominated and darn near drawing dead. All of these hands were possible calling hands from the button to a 3x raise and bet on this flop.

You need to learn how to hit the fold button not only preflop with such a marginal hand out of position but when you get pushed allin for your tourney life. You were just lucky that you were ahead until the river anyway there is.

Sorry if this seemed a little blunt. I don't mean to be hateful by any means. Just my opinion.

your right kravat it was a bad postion to put myself in!!!!!

Why are you playing K/6 from middle position? Never mind the flop and the turn and the river. I would just like to know your reasoning for playing K/6?
cepsi Sep 8, 2008 10:10 am
yeah agree with WD there..
Winter75 Sep 8, 2008 10:32 am

Okay so yeah you played it out of position and it was only K,6 which who knows may be one of your favorite hands. (One of my favorites to play occasionally is Railbirds card: 6h Railbirds card: Qh I call it sex, love and royalty hehe)

However, once that flop came and you bet as high as you did with a K and a Q showing on the board and he called you HE made the mistake. At that point he should have folded. Because at that point he should have put you on a or Q something that numbers wise kicks his hand in the butt. So even if it was kinda a donkyish hand to play for having a mid sized stack in the position you were in HE was definatly a suck out because he was dominated after the flop and just didnt want to let the hand go.

But, I don't know how you were playing previous to this hand.

apfjr Sep 8, 2008 10:36 am
nope I think he was the donk.. no reason for him to stay in that han soooo long. He got lucky on the river. That's all
telebob Sep 8, 2008 10:46 am
fold preflop.

as played, flop play is fine, you can't second guess your hand now, and you can't really ask for a better flop for your hand. you can't feel bad about getting it in as a huge favorite here.

villain sucked out on the river, it happens. oh well, find another tourney.

better luck next time!
