Respect

Sep 8, 2008 8:36 am Report Abuse

Hey All,

I hear many railbird members talking about treating others with respect. Then I watch them treat others in such a disrespectful manner it's the exact definition of irony. I don't think they know anything about respect. If they did, they would diligently model it instead of mock it and throw the word around whenever they want to intimidate, threaten and crap on others. I think their idea of respect is a FEAR ME because of who I am. Well this isn't the mafia and you aren't Al Capone peeps. If you really cared about respecting others you wouldn't model it in hypocrisy. Respect is earned, not given. No amount of thug mentality or behavior will change that. If you want people to respect you, here is a great bit of advice... Try being a human being.

Would be interesting to know where this is coming from.
DarkOdin Sep 8, 2008 8:48 am
yeah i know what you mean BJ and i totally see where you are coming from
MetallicaMami Sep 8, 2008 8:48 am
Doesn't really matter where it is coming from. The sad part is that it's true. There are alot of hypocritical people that CLAIM to be all about respect but consistently prove to be some of the most disrespectful people out there.

respect baby................................apfjr
apfjr Sep 8, 2008 8:56 am
oh yeah where is this coming from?? lol either way i treat people with respect all the time i hope I have earned from them
watchdog26 Sep 8, 2008 8:56 am

Of course it matters where it's coming from. You can't begin to change, mend or fix anythign without first knowing the root cause of it all.

I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN KNOW WHERE THIS IS COMING FROM also, as i heard a story about something earlire that my wife told me about and i missed it ,,and before i could look it was gone,,RESPECT,, IS A BIG WORD,, !!BEcareful the irony might bite you back,,lol!!

Somebody has to want to change before change can take place. If a person cannot admit that what they are doing is wrong, there is no chance of a change taking place. They will continue their behavior and not see the error of their ways. It's like alcoholism, the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.

Yes, Respect is a two way street. And this seems to be the base of something much deeper. And your right watchdog, insight on the whole picture is everything and nothing can be fixed without knowing where it's all coming from.

With that said... Have a great nite all!!

And yes AP , My Brother, you are the epitomy of pure Respect!!!

I agree with u Joe definitely good blog mate
KingCartel Sep 8, 2008 9:10 am

Seems to me that the OP was asked the question of sorts, why are others answering for him?

When someone is asked a question, perhaps it would be RESPECTFUL if you allowed them to speak for themselves? Just a thought.

RESPECT!!

Franky

Amen Franky!!!

Well said

My suggestion, take it for what it's worth. I'd tread carefully in these waters folks.

MetallicaMami Sep 8, 2008 9:22 am

brian, I just simply stated that there's some hypocrites amongst us. I agree with Caaat, respect is a 2 way street and it needs to be earned, not just blindly given. Also, people need to get ALL sides of a story before forming a legitimate opinion about something. Just hearing a story about someone from a friend doesn't automatically make it true. Things like that are the reason why we have the judicial system. BOTH sides are presented and only then, is someone's guilt or innocence decided.

bigword Sep 8, 2008 9:25 am
I think respect is the numeral uno qualitty to have here. Your right too, there are a few who preach respect, but dont always follow there own teachings. I just avoid them. all my friends have respect for me and i for them. so i am happy.
MetallicaMami Sep 8, 2008 9:27 am
Danny, you are one of the most respectful people i've seen on here. You're awesome hon! and apfjr, you seem pretty cool too. Never once had a prob with you.

My comment was not made directly to you Michelle, but to everyone who has and who plans on posting a comment on this blog.

ok watchdog
im confused
he didnt make any specific names
he made a comment about what he has seen
so why the comment about treading carefully
are people not allowed to voice their private opinions
I for one know of definite people who fit this category
but seeing that he did not go into specifics i guess i am confused
