Well as of late things just haven't been going my way, and as such I'm gonna take some time away from RB private tournaments for a bit. How long? I don't know, but it's at the point that I really need to figure out what is going on with my game. Nothing seems to be working out and I NEED to find out where my problem lies. It's easy to blame the other guy, but that is usually not the case.
1 of 3 things is happening:
1) Everyone I normally play with has figured me out (in which case this is not a good thing and I need to step back and figure it out)
2) Everyone else is getting that much better while I remain stagnant ( again not a good thing for me, and I need to figure it out) however, that's great for all of you!
3) I'm actually getting worse (doubtful, but possible I guess but I still need to step back and figure it out)
So for a bit I'm going to limit my poker to a game or 2 a day at the low levels just to get my point for the day, and a lot of looking over previous games to see where I'm going wrong. I'll gravitate to the play money section so that I can work out the kinks and figure out my problem.
I will still work on getting pro's into various tournaments for people, but I will not participate in these games myself.
Why am I tell you all this? Because some of you might actually wonder why I haven't been playing, although I reckon most won't even notice, lol.

U will bounce back I have no doubt.
Good idea WD.... I took it easy for a couple of weeks because I know I was suffering from burn out. My game, my attitude and my gratitude all stank. Since coming back my BR is on the mend and I got a new trophy.
GL and I am sure you will figure it out, I'll miss yer mug but I'll get over it as long as it's good fer you.
Peace, J
I think I'll join ya, watchdog.................it's way too easy to blame others and or the site...............thanx for sharing!

I remember playing with you before you even became a prorail.
You were tearing it up pretty good, because you were/are good.
I feel somewhat the same way as my BR has plummetted, from playing alot of private games I enjoy being there, know the competition is good, and would rather play with them, in a better game aganist people I know/recognize, than a random donkfest.
The payouts are ususally slim, bubble being final table or more often less.
The opportunity to cash is diminished considerably, etc but I enjoy the experience more.
Dont know if any of this strikes a chord with you Watchdog, but I thought of doing the same thing.
Then I realized the fact that my S n G game is in the shitter, and perhaps that has contributed to my BR freefall................lol at myself.
Dog youre a Great poker player, I wish you all the luck to figure out your slump, and I know you'll be out there kicking ass and taking notes sooner than later.
Cheers Krypto
I truly believe that on Full Tilt, which is where most of the pvt. tourneys are..that winning and losing seems to come in streaks or waves.....Much like the ebb and flow of the actual tourneys themselves.....No matter what I did I could not lose, then no matter what I did, or what skills I have, I lost..... You are not alone in this Brian....I found also that during my down times with soooooo many small tourneys it became quite costly and my bankroll would diminish rapidly lol....So I stepped back like you and went to playing the play money tables till I improved, started winning again then switched over to real dollars.....I wish you much gl, and we will see you on here and railing others of that I am sure....
KOO LOO KOO KOO
HH is right, (shhh don't tell him), we all need breaks now and then to regroup ourselves. It's not necessarily that there's something wrong with you or your game, just a bad run of cards. BUT... when you are in one of those slumps you start doubting you ability to play, which can be quite rough on your game and your confidence.
Good luck and when you're ready again to join us, we'll be happy to have you back.
enjoy your time off, come back soon
At any rate, you do what u feel u have to do, we'll see u back on the felt when it's where u want to be.
Good Luck WD !
I hope you find your game soon... You are too good a player to stay down long! Look forward to playing with you again, when you come back!
BUT I WILL ANYWAY.
#1 ITS YOUR GAME PLAY IT YOUR WAY
#2 SOMETIMES NO MATTER WHAT THE CARDS WE GET DEALT WE JUST CANT CONNECT DOESN'T MEAN EVERYONE IS GETTING BETTER, MAYBE WE JUST AREN'T GETTING THE CARDS RIGHT NOW...BE PATIENT
#3 GETTING WORSE ? NO I HAVE SEEN YOU PLAY MANY TIMES, I HAVE BEEN ON THE TABLE WITH YOU, WE ALL GO THROUGH ROUGH PERIODS, WE ALL HAVE OUR BAD DAYS, THAT IS NO REASON TO GIVE UP. I KNOW YOU ARE A GREAT PLAYER I HAVE WATCHED YOU PLAY, IT MAY BE A BAD STREAK FOR NOW AND YOU WILL GET OVER IT.
WHILE YOU MAY NOT THINK ANYONE IS WATCHING... YOU MAY BE SURPRISED WHO IS.
I WISH YOU LUCK AND HOPE YOU DON'T GIVE UP.
i am doing the same it is my attitude it stinks at the moment can moan about bad beats all day but aint worth it got 2 take them or not worth playing so doing the no playing gig
WD you are a great player and playing against you i usually lose...lol
But I understand how you are feeling...cause I've actually been thinking the same thing recently....
So even tho we will miss you...do what you need to do...and hope to see you soon!!!
Thanks everyone for your comments and well, unique pm's, lol. As of right now the only private tourny I know for sure I will continue to play is the football league on wed. nights, as I have made a commitment to my team and it wouldn't be fair to them.
THX BRIAN..........
