AAAA vs. Royal Flush

Sep 5, 2008 11:51 pm Report Abuse

Just wondering if anyone saw this past tuesday. There was a hand where one player had royal and the other quads. It was pretty cool and i was just seeing if anyone else had seen it. Thats the first time i've ever seen a royal flush ever! The odds they said were like 1 in about 1.5 billion!

was it million or billion? yeah I saw it. I liked how the guy with quads said "I'm gonna gamble" and threw all of his chips in.

Yeah I saw that hand Tuesday night. It was brutal to the quad aces.

I didn't see it Tuesday, but I did see it when that episode of WSOP Main Event on ESPN reran the next evening on the Deuce. I hadn't seen a royal flush before in any setting, either. I was involved in a 'live' game once in which my girlfriend hit quad aces, but I've only had them electronically, and only once at that.

Needless to say, quad Aces losing to a Royal Flush is sick, sick, sick. Norman Chad's remark about being able to say your losing hand at the Main Event was four aces was funny but probably not consoling to the loser.

I played Railbirds card: AcRailbirds card: 3c once and flopped Railbirds card: 5cRailbirds card: 2cRailbirds card: 4c So it was in the bag little did I know there was a guy playing Railbirds card: 4hRailbirds card: 4d against me so he hit his set the turn was Railbirds card: 5s which gave him a house and I am sure he thought he was good there but he still didn't push until the river Railbirds card: 4s yup I am sure it was his dream hand everything every step of the way went perfectly for him. But I still won. Wildest hand I ever played

Well, your hand wasn't quite the nuts. How would you have felt about it if your opponent had been playing, say, 67c and hit the 8c on the turn or river?

yep it is with a b for billion. not for a royal flush but for quad aces and royal flush in the same hand

and my hand was the nuts as you see the whole hand displayed right there there was no 8 on the river.. But anyhow I do get your imagination
piesk Sep 6, 2008 12:18 am
lol loco... i dont mean to be rude or any thing... but yes...it was the nuts...'cause the 8 didnt come so his hand was the nuts lol but yer i get where your coming from
xSilent_Knightx Sep 6, 2008 12:26 am
Umm where did this happen and was it televised?
locochaser Sep 6, 2008 12:28 am

My only point is that it wasn't certain to be the nuts until the river came off. It wasn't 'in the bag' after the flop. But I was mainly joshin' back :O because I can't imagine ever laying down a straight flush, even if a higher straight flush were possible.
