My night at the APL tourney

Sep 5, 2008 6:54 pm Report Abuse

Being the poker addict that I am, I joined the WPT amateur poker league earlier this year. Found a great pub/bar to play and have been doing ok. Won a 1st and 2nd and been at several final tables. Last night, the poker gods were good. Made another final table and the final 16...woot!

If any of you have this in your area, join for the experience. You can easily search on Google for the WPT amateur poker league. When you get to the site, it will show regions, just click on yours and find the schedule.
We start with10K in chips and the blinds go up kinda quickly but it is great fun.

As an added bonus the tourney director hooked me up with a local PLO hi/lo game that I can't wait to give a try. Minimum buy in is only $75 so things are looking good. On that note, right before posting this, stopped by an .10/.25 game on FTP and walked away with another $16 to the BR in three hands. Whoosh! I'm loving this game.

Have a great, winning weekend. CU@ the tables.
