Tough hand....i guess if the board pairs you MUST think you are good especially after the turn when you have Aces up.

Unless you're prepared to go to the 'rigged' crying towel, it's nothing more than a combination of a bad card run (over 3 hands), some questionable play (on both sides) and the fickle finger of Lady Luck (and she is just currently giving you the finger).

Pyromaan Sep 5, 2008 6:20 pm

Ur rite nevada but damn the cards are goin bad

It's a good thing that I'm making some cash between these hands cause otherwise this wouldve been an prettyexpensive hobby.

On the other side, my BR isn't goin up that much with too many of those hands.

Well, let's find out lol. Game on

nevadanick Sep 5, 2008 6:33 pm

In short form - and remember - you asked for opinions ...

1st hand, you were OK til the flop. Part of it was a bigger stack bully (trying to buy the pot ?). Part was overbetting those ladies on the flop. With villain's pot bet, he wasn't going anywhere, except to call you and the race was on.

2nd hand. Obviously facing a paired board doesn't slow you down. You did re-raise into that paired board and villain went over the top. Didn't the caution lite at least flicker ??

Then those ladies again. On the turn you decided to push facing a scary board. Had the flush hit the river, you were still screwed with the lower flush. Your str8 draw was a gut shot. Other than that, you were willing to bet the farm on one pair.

I'm sure there are some that would say you made the right calls and you came to gamble - didn't you? HMmmm.. too big a gamble for me.

.25/.50 isn't a bad level, but NL can be a killer. You win big, or lose big. QQ, AJo and QQ weren't bad hands, but they are easily beat.

Better luck next time.

nevadanick Sep 5, 2008 6:42 pm

OMG - ouch - that last one was pure and simple - a bad beat. What did you do to Lady Luck that she has it that 'in' for you ... lol ...

Get her a beer - or something - quick.

Pyromaan Sep 5, 2008 8:45 pm

Txs for the comments.

And yup the caution was flickering in the second hand. I kinda almost knew for certain he had me but I was simply to stubborn to fold.

And looking back at the third hand a little later I also didn't have to call his 2.50 raise. Folding there wouldve saved me sum.

So I guess besides being unlucky in both cases it wouldn't have happened if i had more discipline in both hands.

Anyway txs for ur comments and have a nice weekend Nick.

Pyromaan Sep 5, 2008 8:55 pm

Btw

The copy paste didn't work in the second hand I Geuss.

I miss the preflop part

This guy was calling 4a5bb with q8 off preflop. that's why i didn't give him credits for an 8
