Setting up your opponent,
You often here you need to set-up your opponent to take them down or to take a bunch of chips from them. The question is how do you do it. Here is an example of how I set one up yesterday.
We were 3 handed in a 9 man SNG. Although I played very tight up to then I started to raise quite a lot. Then the following happened:
PokerStars Game #20149505338: Tournament #106245539, $3.00+$0.40 Hold'em No Limit - Level VI (100/200) - 2008/09/04 18:41:46 ET

Total pot 1300 | Rake 0
Seat 3: Tanatl0c (button) folded before Flop
Seat 5: P (small blind) folded before Flop
Seat 7: M (big blind) collected (1300)
So finally they got fed-up with my min raise steals and they started to push back.
A few hands later I got Dealt KK, I min raised the limper, he pushed back, I went all in (make it look like a steal) and he called.

ok i think ur fold to the re raise with A8 is very weak....u folded for 400 more...u have a very strong hand for 3 handed...u shud see a flop with this..
secondly u have been lucky that this opponent in seat 7 is very weak and will stack off with KJs...a dream come tru for ur hand..
So whil u played the hand perfectly i just dont think u set anyone up here at all....if hes min raising u here with KJ and calling all in ....what might he have had in the other hand where u had A8???
ya no ur right
didnt mean to come off as an azz...weak/ tight....probly jus tight...apologies..
After raising so much he probably put me on a much wider range then his own so probably his KJ suited looked strong enough to take on my loose image. Which I created by folding. Hence the set-up. If I would have called my raises would look much stronger and prevent anyone from stacking off. Tight play with a loose image pays. Try it.
