Steph1488 & Mrtrc266 1 yr Anniversary @ RB

OK this is a little late but damn work gets in the way sometimes.

On August 26th 2008 Steph1488 and mrtrc266, Husband & Wife, Monster and Bride have been at Railbirds for 1 yr!

Just a little background and how we came to poker and Railbirds....

I started playing poker about 3 yrs ago thanks to my boss. He used to come into work frequently and tell be about how good he did in a poker tournament. After a couple of months my curiosity got the best of me and I created and account @ Paradise Poker.

I started playin play money games and tourneys while reading the instructions online at the same time cuz I hadn't played since I was a kid and that was rare to begin with. About 1 month later I made a deposit and 2 weeks after that I took 1st place in a tourney and here are the results.

As you can imagine I was hooked! I called my boss and said, "OMG I just took 1st place in a tourney and won $714!" and his response was, "I know I was watching you, great job." LMAO he was railing me and I didn't even know it.

Over the next 6 months or so I had a couple more decent cashes and then they put all the USA regulations in order and I wasn't able to play at the sites that I liked.

I took about 1 yr off from poker, then Steph and I went to Vegas and played some Ultimate Texas Holdem (casino house game). She and I both loved it even though she had never even played Holdem before. When we got home I fired up my FTP and PS and started playing again and got Steph to create accounts.

She learned very quickly and soon enough she was a force to be reckoned with on the felts. One day I was cruising through the private tourney schedule on FTP cuz I had never even glanced at it before and I saw a freeroll that said to contact www.railbirds.com for more info. I went to RB and created an account and told Steph about it. The next day while I was at work she had time to cruise through RB and told me on the phone that this place looked pretty nice, they have private tournies, clans and all kinds of cool stuff. Both loving horror movies and Halloween the Monster stood out the most so she contacted Sel and we became Monsters within a week.

About 6 months ago we went to Vegas again and played the Real Texas Holdem for 5 straight days and we both tore it up Monster Style due to all of you teaching us how to do it. (VEGAS BLOG)

We had no idea what to expect when we came to Railbirds but we can't even begin to describe how much we've enjoyed RB and the Monsters over the last year. Never in a million years would we have thought that Railbirds could be so great. We have met so many awesome people and great friends from all over the world and we have been part of something real special! Both of us have learned so much over the last year, it's absolutely amazing. We're looking forward to many more years with all of you and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you have done and continue to do.
