I have got to tell you about this hand I was in last weekend ! I had been sitting at a table playing $1/$2 no limit for about an hour and a half, and had a tight aggressive image, having only played a few hands, and only shown down good starting hands, I was up about $75 and was looking for a big hand, as I had a table with plenty of money on it to realistically build a stack up to a grand over the course of the night. ! After being patient for what seemed like a long time, I look down on the button and find J,K suited Diamonds, a playable hand for sure, in late position on this table !
There was a raise to $7, 2 callers, and then the guy to my right says Raise, and makes it $20 to go, I am thinking call and see what happens behind me, so that's what I do. sb folds, BB calls, the origional bettor calls, as do the other 2 people ! With a pot of $120 out there, the flop comes A,Q,10 rainbow, giving me the nuts ! The BB checks, next guy bets out $40, 1 fold, next one calls, and then the guy to my right says, all in ! He has about $110 in front of him, and I am wondering if anyone else wants to call behind me...lol... So after a pause like I was thinking hard, I just called. BB folds, the next guy thinks for a while, and folds, Then the next guy in line says ALL IN ! He has about $240 in front of him !
All in all it turned out to be a pot of right at $750, and my flopped straight took it down, against trip 10's, trip Queens, and a guy with AK . The turn was a 5 and the river a 3 leaving the dealer to push all that glorious stack of chips my way ! It took me folding 2 hands to get them all stacked...hehehe... That night I took a total of $1320 off that table, in 6 1/2 hours. My goal was to rack up at $1200, but the last hand I played I had pocket kings and hit trips on the flop to win a pot of around $450 pushing me $120 over my goal ! That $120 all but covered my weekend motel bill !
These kind of things don't happen as often as I think they should, but at least the do happen, sometimes !...lol...Like I always say, .....You Win Some, You Lose Some, but, at least you win Some !
