The Barn is now a second-home for these fine new donkeys (Pootoss, BangMyFatty, and ProStaff13); all members who have yet to visit them are encouraged to click on their diplomas and learn more about the lastest additions to the Herd - WELCOME!

THIS EDITION of the "Jackass Journal" may appear somewhat different due to the absence of founder and creative genius, GlennFish , who is busy moving his Family from Texas to Kentucky - all the best wishes and hopes for a smooth transition go out to the man mainly responsible for the existence of this newsletter - he is expected to return shortly and will clear up (in the October issue) all mistakes, inaccuracies, and stupidities made here by those attempting to duplicate his incredible efforts.

A SUCCESSFUL MOVE was made by palrs back to the Windsor area; he demonstrated that a week's break from poker was no hinderance (& perhaps somewhat beneficial) by promptly finishing first among DonkeyNation's 8-24 A$$ KICKIN WINNERS - congratulations on the victory and on surviving the relocation.

THE GREATEST NEWS in August did not involve a move, but was about removal - MoahSparks endured a life-saving operation to ensure that he will be cancer-free - congratulations to him, his Family, the doctors and all responsible for this amazing feat. This certainly puts playing a game (such as poker) into its proper perspective - so very minor in the grand scheme of life - and will allow Moah to laugh off any future card losses, since he has conquered the biggest bad-beat of them all.

THE "QUIET GENTLEMAN" of the Herd, the voice of reason and a person of fine example - tilton101 - has also visited the hospital. Best wishes go out to him for a speedy recovery and return.

BACK AT THE TABLES, ShowMeJohn had an excellent month of August as he took advantage of the RB.com FreeRolls, finishing fourth (at the time of this publication; perhaps a final update will rank him higher) for the 31-day period.

THE NEW BARN construction is ahead of schedule and looks to be certainly completed before the target date of mid-November - all of DonkeyNation should welcome the additional space and amenities.

The decision on whether or not to have a "Painting Day" (red, of course) to match the current "old" Barn and Stable is being batted around - please let your opinion be known - since the job is so labor intensive (a DonkeyNation "hint" for volunteers) and the natural wood grain of the new structure is weatherproof, this is a choice that has many a member's thoughts divided (especially the lazy ones like ... well, you know).

THE HERD's OWN entrepeneurs - GlennFish, Bluesboy47, and steph809 - have opened the 2nd and 3rd locations of their fast-food-outlet, "The 3 Burro-Eat-Os." Currently in discussion with the venture capitalist marketing giant, "The BlackStone Group," the possiblitity of cashing in on "gas futures" looks bright for these staunch DonkeyNation supporters.

AS MOST OF YOU know, the new Barn will be an optional "Alcohol Free" zone, with all the beer-refrigerators, coolers, and storage of beverages / Bars staying in the Stable and "old" Barn. Working with MADDD ("Mothers Against Donkeys Driving Drunk", DonkeyNation is doing everything it can to educate its members about the dangers of all drug-abuse (including alcohol): djbjr70 "a personal note for my friends ...
