Ok, I am kinda putting myself out on a limb here, but, I want to see some of those girls I met from Texas over this Labor Day Weekend in Wendover, NV., reply to this blog !
I had fun with several people, from a couple of different groups, on and off the felts ! There should be somebody reading this that remembers the details of the Twin Birthday Boys Table Saturday Night, and hopefully has at least looked at, if not decided to join Railbirds ! ......I Tore Up the Felt from the time I sat down, until it was time to go, I OWNED the guy to my left, played feelie with the leg of the girl to my right, and passed out several of my Topcat Cards, to a great bunch of people, everyone playing that table had a great time that night, even the Quiet Cowboy ! There was one particular Texas Gal I am hoping to hear from, she asked me to "Jack her ass up", saying she hadn't had that done in a long time, which was my pleasure to do for her !...LOL...
There were many good tables and players all weekend, and I was called TC by everyone, even the dealers and staff, also, the ones I played with for any length of time, were informed about Railbirds.com, and those who showed intrest got Topcat Buisness Cards to direct them here. .....I want to see the trip to pay off in some new Railbirds members as well, I met some Great people that would fit right in here ! ...LOL....I hope that what happened there was just the start of some good friendships, and what needs to Stay in Wendover, ...WILL !...HEHEHE...
There is also a very special Texas Girl that had on Blue Denim, with Shiny Studs decorating it Sunday Evening, I also gave HER a Harbormaster Card, one of a very few I gave out over there ! We were seated at a table with a guy that used a giant 3" penny for a card marker , and a guy from India, with a lot of rebuy cash ! Within 2 1/2 hours of play, I stacked my chips after winning a nice pot, and found myself over my projected winnings limit ! That meant, before the next blind, I had to leave the table, if I was going to follow my own advice...LOL...
Naturally, I did get up and walk away a big winner, but before I left, I told the cutie on my right how to read the Indian guy, he had a tell that was good as gold !, I am kinda anxious to hear if she took a stack or two of reds away from him...lol... Just before I left, she asked what I was going to do next, and I told her that it was my intention to go listen to the band for a set, and then go to the Rainbow, and get into the bigger game down there. I also told her that if she cashed out, and wanted to dance, come on down to the band area, her friend in the cowgirl hat stopped for a chat, but she didn't show before I left for the other Casino ! I would really like to hear from her !
It would be nice if one of the staff members I gave a card to joins, then we can have our own Voice of Wendover, telling us of the Special Tournaments They Host ! There are some nice Tournaments Scheduled there over the fall, if anyone is interested, you can go to wendoverfun.com, and find a list of the Tournament Schedule there, at the bottom of the page. Every Sunday there is a$110+$20 buy in, Deep Stack, Bounty Tournament at 3:00 pm with 30 minute blinds, and there are some some WSOP Qualifiers scheduled for this fall.
It is Amazing how cheap the flights and rooms are for these trips, those people from Texas only paid $189 for the flight, AND the Room Combined ! There is a Flight Schedule Map on their site, and it tells when the next flight out is, and how much it will cost. There are flights from most all Middle and Northern States, and almost all look to be under $200 for the weekend ! There is a good Concert Hall there also, Clint Black was there this weekend, and they have some good acts coming this fall, Like REO Speedwagon, oct 4th at 8:00 pm, Grechen Wilson will be there this Oct 5th at 7:00 pm.
I hope to hear from some of these people I met, but I guess it really doesn't matter if I do or not, I will always have the memories, and will think about them each time I sit down at my new drum kit and cymbals, I bought, with their cash !...lol...

Update on the progress of the drum kit !
I now have everything I want to complete the set, except a double kick pedal, and the 22" Ride Cymbal I want, but It is almost complete. I have a bid in on a set of pedals that goes off auction tomorrow evening, and I hope to get them, or some other set by this weekend ! I also have an add out looking for the Cymbal I want, and plan to call every music shop in the phone book until I find one that has one, or knows where there is one !
I have added the two left side toms, have matching tuned heads on each one now, and added a cymbal and anither hi-hat to leave loose, and act as a stand for another cymbal piggybacking it...lol...
Here is a better picture !
Kitty, I am looking for an older Japanese made, really heavy, hand hammered Cymbal called a "22 inch, Pearl, Wild 500, Ride Cymbal", basically an antique...lol...
