something else that happens way to much on full tilt

Sep 3, 2008 4:49 pm Report Abuse

I will be dealt A K or A Q suited and raise the pot. I get one caller with a small pocket pair. In that situation the caller seems to hit the set against me to often. When Im dealt the small pocket pair and hit the set same doesnt happen. Its not my betting pattern, because Ive tried many. Its full tilt not giving the same opportunity to grab some bigger pots.

ive noticed playing AK or AQ against even some maniac calling 7 2, the amount of times the lowest card comes up on the river or turn to give them a pair is getting predictable on full tilt poker. ive been burnt that much with A K like this i tend to limp in a bit more with a small raise or call with A K or A Q. i know its probably not text book play but from experience with fulltilt i find it my safest option.

Why not just come right out and claim that FT is rigged?? OP and 1st reply can be nothing less than a 'rigged' statement.

ANY manipulation of dealt cards in ANY manner would constitute rigging the outcome. Favoring one player or hand over another as you claim is 'rigging'. How in the world would a site select ANY players or hands for preferential treatment?

FT has over 15,000 open tables right now. Dealing in the area of 15,000 hands per minute, over 800,000 hands per hour. Somewhere in this you honestly believe they inserted a program (algorythm) modification to favor weaker hands - for 'certain' players ... ???????

AK and AQ are nothing more than 2 bricks out of the deck with only 6 remaining matches 'IF' all are still in the remaining deck (highly unlikely). The likelihood of cards other than an A or K/Q is proportionately higher.

beng >> there is a reason for the bigger bets on an AK or AQ. It's to narrow the field of active players, reducing the number of possible 'sukouts', not to assure a winning hand against a larger field. I would also say that I believe AK and AQ are way overvalued and overbet, suited or not.

I play live several times a week, and have since '69. I see the same result at the live tables - with one exception. There are far fewer live players willing to go to the wall with weak hands. If they did, they would also 'hit' -from time to time. There are nights no one can hit their set and there are those that hit every set. Does that mean that live play is rigged?

I've never deposited on FT but have a decent BR there, from -0-. Maybe toking the dealer as I do helps, I don't know for sure. Play your best game. Adjust for online players' range of hands. Play well, and profit. I've put a good word in for you with the dealer ...
