Good Evening Railbirds:
This is a good story to help offset some of the bad beat stories we have all posted........
I just logged off of Poker Stars after another evening of poker. It was an up and down day but the ultimate result was a 43% increase in my bankroll.
I died at the 3-6 limit tables initially and didn't have any more luck at the 1-2 no limit either. It was very frustating because I got some decent cards but the flop was not my friend.
I wasn't having any fun due to my frustration level so I switched to Omaha. I can't remember the buy in but it was around $60. I dominated initially moving my stack to over $175. But Omaha is Omaha and soon I had a big swing back to under $40. (Damn why can't I ever quit) It is all good because I managed a comeback to $125 and still doubled my buy in.
Now I was having fun and I jumped into a $60 turbo SNG. I ran over the table elimating 7 of 8 of the players and eventually winning heads up against a good player. This win negated the earlier loses and back to the cash games I went. It was up and down but then I hit some big hands that netted me the 43% gain.
For now I am doing well but I try to play within my limits so I don't donk off may bankroll. Online poker has been a hole in my pocket for two years but I think that I may be turning the corner and hopefully will soon be putting money back into my bank account.
I hope everyone has success!!! Good Luck in Life and in the game called Poker that we love!
