I was playing on a 2cent-5cent table on pokerstars with a $6 stack. Its folded to me on button. I have 8,9 suited so I raise it up to 20 cents to try to steal the blinds. Small blind folds, big blind calls. Flop is 10,jack,queen rainbow. Big blind bets $6....huge overbet. I flopped the srt8 but on the bottom end. I figured he didnt like me raising his blind and was steamin a bit . I called, and he shows AK . boom....daily allotted bankroll gone. SHOULD I HAVE CALLED,WHATS THE ODDS OF 2 PLAYERS FLOPPING A STRAIGHT. bruce

tough flop, kind of like set over set. You always need to be careful when you got the low side of a straight. If I only have .20 invested I am pretty sure I could lay it down, but...

tough luck and go get it back.

The odds of the other player flopping a straight also are slim but with a 6 dollar bet you have to decide if your opponent is a respectable player. But in that situation I would probably put them on two pair and called.

Instacall...huge overbet with the nut hand? Either he's an idiot, or somehow knew you had the 98.

Same thing happened to me in $24 tourney on FT. Nothing you could have done. You could easly put in on trips. Yes you should have called, better luck next time.
