INTERNET EXPORER VS MOZILLA FIREFOX

Sep 2, 2008 2:05 pm Report Abuse

I just recently downloaded Mozilla Firefox. I had heard a couple of people on Railbirds talking about it so decided to give it a try. I compared a few things and decided I need both. When doing homework I have to do a lot of downloads and html documents and Firefox is faster. Some of the features are mirror image and some are not. I really like the spell check on everything. If I do a blog in Firefox, it automatically spell checks it. Let me know which you prefer. X

BEST FEATURE OF FIREFOX: I love this feature. When I open Firefox I get the last tabs I had open when I exit out.

Save on Exit

Now when you open Firefox, your tabs and windows look just like they did when you closed it down. No need to reopen all your windows each time you start a session.

well, i work only in firefox because its easier to handle (exceptional the picture uploading...please see underneath beg...) and its a lot faster than IE.

now to the beg : drag and drop doesnt function at my pc which needs especially when i wanna post pics into comments a very tough work.
my question is: do you use vista ...and if so , can you describe EXACTLY how you do that "drag and drop" because i dont understand why it doesnt work on my pc

best of luck to you and thanks for this blog!

It takes years for IE to implement the popular features of firefox. IE continues to stay behind firefox and its likely that will continue.

I just saw google is introducing another browser today I think. I use both right now myself. Railbirds is my homepage on firefox

Firefox by a landslide.

One of the other things that I absolutely love about Firefox is that you can customize the upper tool bar to include the things you use the most, such as the Cut, Copy, Paste feature...

It also like the fact that there isn't near as many errors and has to close down and when there is and error you can restore your session upon reopening it and everything you had open is right there again.

I do use both, but my favorite is Firefox.

And of course Railbirds is my homepage on both.

Google is coming out with Chrome today. I'd like to see how it stacks up.

I use Firefox and only Firefox now. I used both for a while, but settled on the one.

It works better for Railbirds and is just simply faster than Internet Explorer.

i do mostly work in FIrefox.. (and im a webdevelopper) and i allways devlop for FIREFOX first, (and the error fix fo r IE)

But there is some minor stuff as not is so good, eg. FLASH are not that good in Firefox.. as in Internet Explorer, the Media player and so..

But there is so many good and great FREE add ons u have to get and keep updatede for a good Firefox.

So u'll will love it full in a month or so and u'll only have IE as a backup, for your, homebanking and "old" homepages as not have decovered the GOD..

firefox rules and is so customisable you can more or less put your own browser together. IE on th eother hand is a bug invested product of the devil :P

firefox is awesome.. try opera sometime
Metalman74 Sep 2, 2008 6:43 pm
firefox owns for sure. no doubt about it.

Well first off, why would you have all those tool bars? Extra tool bars are not really any help to a given browser. They actually lessen your viewing area, they also keep track of sites visited and they slow down the performance. I would definitely say that Firefox is the leader when it comes to browsing between these two options.
Now for throwing a new cog in the wheel. Google is one of the best and most innovative companies on the net today and guess what..... They are now putting out their own browser. This could be the new black.

http://googleblog*****/2008/09/fresh-take-on-browser.html

Here is a link to a comic strip explaining what they hope to achieve.

http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/index.html

After this is tested and improved upon I would guess that it will surpass all other browsers. Google has proven time and time again that they have some of the best programmers and that they know how to make things work.

Just my 2 cents.
