Well I finally got a laptop. My youngest daughter gave me her old one. It needs some work, but it works! First day I got it I had to rearrange a few things, so I connected it to my cable modem that I use on my PC. It worked great with some flaws.
Flaw #1: Charging port is pushed into the back. Fixed that after taking out 40 invisible screws. LOL
Flaw #2: No virus protection installed. Fixed.
Flaw #3: Biggest flaw of them all! Screen is busted. Not fixed! LOL.
Flaw #4: I had to use dial-up to play poker last night. That really sucked. Fixed, ordered wireless router.
For a free Laptop, I cannot complain. I can do my homework while Whooper1970 plays poker on the PC. As you can see by the picture the lap is in excellent condition minus the flaws. I am going to replace the LCD when it arrives from Ebay. I am taking a Hardware/Software class this semester and it has a huge section on repairing Laps. Wish me luck.
Looks like an alien in the computer. LOL. X
