Best Damn Donkey August- Poor Daddy-Winner

Darn good play by everyone on the board. I am a little dissappointed that more members don't participate. I know that there are many who make a few small cashes and don't want to be embarrased by winning only a dollar or two a month. Maybe they just don't want to mess with having their winnings emailed to them from the respective web sites.

When I set up this contest at Powder's suggestion, I never dreamed that it would become such fierce competition. Don't get me wrong, competition is really a good thing. It makes a person strive to become better, or sometimes, sadly, it makes them give up.

I don't want to see anyone give up. It would be nice to see more participation... Of course I am not the person doing the record keeping anymore, so it is easy for me to make suggestions on how to improve the contests! ie: allow freeroll whores like myself have a better chance to win another trophy. LOL!

What I want to open for discussion is having several ranks of "Best Damn Donkey Contest" winners.

Possibly start with "Donkey in Training" for the first level.
Then have "Oh Baby Donkey!" for the second.
Of course "Poor, Daddy Donkey" would be third.
Naturally "Momma Mia, Look at that Donkey!" could be fourth level.
Possibly "That's a really big Ass!" might be fifth level.
If we need a sixth level I'm not sure what to call it? Maybe, "Donkey KONG!", but I think that has already been taken.
The seventh level is easy, if a little wordy. "Donk Master of the Poker Universe"

I can think of a dozen ways to make it more fun for more members of the Herd than the current contest is. I am thinking that this is something we should consider for 2009. Maybe a special blog could be set up to allow all members to voice their opinions before the holidays are here and we get too busy with family life to think about next year?

Right now I am very happy that the members who are participating continue to post even greater winnings! It seems that every few months we have a winner who exceeds the previous best by a hugh margin.

Congrats again to all the winners! As I pat myself on the back....LOL!
