MY WHITE FLAG.....

Aug 31, 2008 10:07 am Report Abuse

Well i've really been thinking about taking a break from the game. I'm probably having my hottest 2 months on PS ever and well full tilt just and up down swing, but that far from the point. Lately i find myself collapsing and tilting off my chips after a good read goes wrong, once i tilt i can't seem to bring myself back to discipline poker, I also find myself berating people like never before (although im yet to berate during railbird play and hope to keep it that way). I notice people making mistakes i used to make try to use it to my advantage and *bink* sucked out gg etc and can't help but going off. it used to be easy to focus now i constantly blow up when others are at the tippy top of there game. i dunno but pretty sure i should take time off before it does damage to me as a person.

Take a break, do some stuff you want to do or needs to get done, then come back and try again, I guarantee you'll be stronger. Either way, good luck to you, I do know the feeling .

Hey, breaks work, just look at what they did for Hoyt Corkins....

breaks are for bad beats, downswings..etc etc I think you need to work through this to get better. Go into a small buy in tourney or micro ring game, maybe even play chips...you will encounter all kinds of bad play there! take a beat...keep your cool, stay focused....you may even want to type NH or great play! This is where I turned around!! YOU WANT THEM TO MAKE THOSE PLAYS!! look at long term results not the one play that crippled ya...stay focused and build your stack...maybe it is not your day or tourney to win...but STAY FOCUSED! trust your reads, they can't always be right, hell, I know mine aren't but I go with them......I am not saying a break would hurt ya, just maybe this is something you need to work through..because believe me, it will be the same game when you get back!!
GOOD LUCK BRO!
BAT
