Spamming, Enough is Enough !!!

i guess i am 1 of the lucky ones i hardly ever get any spam

i send out the odd spam but know it drives some people nuts so dont do it alot

The only spam that I ever send out is my tournament info once a week and yesterday I spammed my b-day tourny. If you don't want to receive it, I have no problem putting you in a "Do Not Spam" section of my friendlist.

you can block the spam with going to your friends list:
click then on edit list and then there is an option called blocklist...
of course...you get then no pms from this person at all...
but, as first help it should work...

yeah agree the spamming stinks 98% of my mail i dont care about anymore cause there invites and i dont play at full tilt no more....

While I do agree that some go overboard, there are many who send mass PMs to their friends to share exciting and fun stuff and don't want them to miss out on something.

Many members I have seen that do spam have a message included saying that if you wish to not be included in future spams then to let them know. With the issue with mass PMs and friends list, its hard, but they do try very hard to prevent sending you something that you may not want.

As a clan leader, we do send information to our clan members regularly, but that's not something I would think any clan member would consider to be "spam"

I totally agree everyday I get at least 4-5 messages. Its not as bad as it used to be though. I've thought about blocking the people I get the most spam from.

From what i have noticed it is mostly tournament invites and if you don't want to play tourneys then delete your friends list and just play the RB tourneys ..... I myself don't mind the spam ... SPAM IS GOOD .... I like to know what and how well my fellow railbirds are doing ...... Is it really that hard to click the mouse 30 - 40 times LMAO ?????? .. it only takes 1 click to delete a PM

It certainly is not the clan information the I am concerned with. Of the spam that I receive, only one person sends his out with the formentioned, "if you wish to not be included in future spams then to let them know". I will for obvious reasons keep his name private, but it is greatly appreciated.

Maybe they like you. {lol} I have over 200 friends and I have no trouble with spams. At least I get very few and most are important.

I would suggest you check you friends list and take off the ones that spam you, if it bothers you that bad.

I don't get any aside from a few invites to tourneys but I don't cosider that to be spam. In all likelihood I asked them to include me in the first place. 40 per day would be a drag. I'm pretty much a grumpy, tilting, egotistical a-hole poker player and don't get too many pms.

I think its pretty simple. Spam is a tool used to communicate information. If you dont wish to be a part of it block the user from being able to send messages to you. Easy as pie.

When there is a problem and one can look around and not see the problem, it is most likely that this person is part of the problem !!!
