    Hurricane Gustav !!!! We are evauating !!!

    We lost everything from Hurricane Katrina and struggling and starting over with nothing and no money, and here comes another storm Hurricane Gustav. I live in St Bernard Parish in Chalmette. Its in the outskirts of New Orleans. Today is 3 year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. And it did major devestation and flooding here in New Orleans and Mississippi. If we lose everything again we are not coming back. There is a mandatory evacuation on Saturday and we want to beat the traffic. Like the last and previous hurricanes, we dont want to get stuck to bumper to bumper cars and run into problems the last minute.

    Smart move RK. Too many people get stubborn, refuse to evacuate away from trouble and pay the ultimate price for their foolishness. Material possessions can be replaced but not a life. Stay safe and best of luck to you.

    I'm right behind you. I live in Lafitte and the way it looks we may get the brunt of the storm this time around. I am going to play the Gulf Coast Poker Championship tomorrow at the Beau Rivage and will evacuate from there to Tennessee when it comes this way.

    best of luck to you and your family. i know what is a hurricane. in 2004 we had hurricane jeanne in the dominican republik.......it wasnt nice.i was there in my vacation.
