Steph home from Scotland Pics

Aug 25, 2008 7:07 pm Report Abuse

Some of you know, our 14 year old daughter went for 2 weeks to Scotland on a missions trip with the youth from our church. They landed in Edinburgh, stayed the night there, then stayed e rest of the 2 weeks in Melrose. Here are a few pictures that she took...

This is Melrose Abbey... whats left of it.

She was happy to finally a man in a kilt! Her tired smile says it all!

There were street performers in Kelso. This particular one, when you gave him money, he would give you something out of his bag. He gave Stephanie what she thought seemed like "Fairy Dust".

She didnt know quite what to do with it...

So here shes blowing it away.

And, of course, it wouldnt be a trip to Scotland without seeing Edinburgh Castle.

She had a great time and spent alot of it sight-seeing and being involved with youth. They had a service where they thought there might be maybe 10 people attending, and were suprised that close to 70 showed up. It was an amazing experience for them, and I know that she will carry it very close to her heart forever.

Great pics. Glad she's back home safe and that she enjoyed herself. She should plan to go to Seville, Spain where the horses pulling the carriages are all dressed up.

Wow beautiful pics and a beautiful daughter. I bet she's glad to be home, but thinking what a wonderful experience it was to go as well. And it warms my heart to know that there are still so many awesome youth groups around and missioning (i don't think that's a word) around the world.

Peace

What a beautiful young lady you have there steph, and what an exciting trip, my 15yr old went with the mission group from church to the Dominic Republic this summer to help build a redcross hospital and she continuously talks about how great the expierience was and how it makes her appriciate all that she has in life even more, no matter how little or how much she has. She came back even more grown up and more independent then ever and that makes me such a proud parent she wants to go again next year to africa and help build a hospital there and that makes me excited and scared all at once .How fast our babies grow and find there own life and calling they make us so proud. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS. You have raised amazing young woman Steph you should be proud. MONSTER LUV MICHELLE

LOL... Warlock and Redmond... the jeans, with the holes in the knees would probably cost $200.00!!!

Didnt you know that is ALL THE RAGE in Scotland????? lol

Those jeans were supposed to be for her work-day, outside.
