Now That Was FUN

Aug 25, 2008 12:47 am Report Abuse

I've been working on building a bankroll for the last couple of weeks using the $5.00 Pokerstars gave me for free. Don't ask me how i got tha deal because i don't have a clue. I ad been playing the dime tourneys with limited success, so I decided to try a ring game for a change. I was about $1.00 ahead of my $2.00 initial investment and this hand hit. I know this will seem small time to a lot of the railbirds, but it is my first significant hand since i started at railbirds and had cash to play with. Lets just say i really enjoyed it....

I'm sure there will be some comments about my slow playing that hand, but i think it maximized my return that particular time.

Thanks Railbirds for all the blogs that have helped me improve my game!!

I would say you played it great, sometimes a slow play can help as someone else hits their hand and helps you build the pot

my only advice is now that you've won it...stay away from cash games and go to SNG's for awhile..its too easy to blow your whole bankroll in a cash game

Great fun, isn't it!

Keep up the good work!

Absolutely no problems with that slow-play whatsoever! Flopping a full house would be VERY unlikely to be beaten, and the guy with AJ would have folded if you'd have pushed earlier on. Well played and congrats!

Thanks for the advice, PlayedYou, and anyone else that cares to chime in......that's what I'm here for, that, and the good times and fellowship. Looking forward to tonights freeroll, maybe i can finally cash in a bird tourney.

GL if your playing tonight,

Don

Congrats! I completely agree with the advice about staying away from cash games.

I built the free $5 to $19 and then blew through it in one afternoon. OOPS!!!

Congrats again and good luck!
