I couldn't help but laugh at "Cook Islands."

So the top 7 are all islands or archipelagos in the South Pacific (as well as #10), where some groups believe that beauty is marked by being of large physical size. Also, the influx of imported, processed foods, such as SPAM, has contributed greatly to the wave of obesity washing up on the shores of these island nations. These high calorie, low nutrition foods are often cheaper alternatives to local fish, fruits and vegetables that these cultures subsisted on prior to colonization. Poverty combined with sedentary lifestyles, and the possibility of a genetic predisposition to obesity, all contribute to the growing health epidemic facing these developing countries. Since many of these countries were formerly British territories, it would seem to me that imperialism is at least partially to blame for their collective weight problem. So what's our excuse, America?
