For those who missed it, Scotty Nguyen lost a lot of respect from Erick Lindgren and others with his antics in the HORSE final table. Personally, I thought some of the things he did were kind of funny when he wasn't directly attacking DeMichele, such as showing his cards to the crowd (even Lindgren laughed at that). But the way he yelled at DeMichele and yelled about "Cocktails!!!! Where are my cocktails!!!!" was WAY over the line. My thought is where in the world was the WSOP official during all this. Mike Matusow got a 6 minute penalty in the main event for tell someone to shut the f*ck up, but the "Prince of Poker" can mistreat someone at the Final Table of HORSE for hours and nothing is done???? He should have been shown the door. What does everyone else think?

This was all made for television ratings and to boost the television audience for the Main Event Final Table that will be shown on Veterans Day Weekend when people are away from their tv's.

riss,
First off Welcome to the nest. It is a great place to hang out, make friends, and learn about something we all love....POKER.
Dont take the initial response from papa to hard, as Phil said there have been a number of blogs on this topic. I know how Papa feels; I too feel that this issue has been built up by the media, and due to that we have all created even more drama around the issue.
good luck on the felts and see you on the tables.

Welcome to the nest
Here are a few of the many blogs covering this
Welcome. You will get negative comments from time to time. Don't take them personally, and as was said earlier, I'm sure the first comment was unintentional. Here's a link also to Scotty's apoplogy for his antics. Good luck at the tables!

Riss,
I do apologize. I didn't look to see that this is your first blog. And I certainly don't want you to get the impression that you are not welcome here. You most certainly are.
As for the 'Scotty' issue, there have been so many blogs on this that it has consumed the front page for the past week. Enough is enough. Whether we agree or disagree, condone or ridicule what happened, there is NOTHING we can do about it. So why is all of this time being spent on something we can't change? Let's do something productive.....like write ***** blogs or poker quizzes maybe.
Again, I apologize if I came off a bit harsh in my first comment. Welcome to the nest.
If I might put my 2 cents in....
First off, I didn't see what Scotty did, and I'm not 100% certain on the rules of the table as far as badmouthing the other players. I DO know that using the F-word is an automatic penalty, and that that's why Matusow got his. As long as Scotty was keeping his language clean and nobody was complaining, I don't think there's anything he was doing that didn't fall under "Gamesmanship" That said, from what I've heard about it, it was VERY uncalled for!
