I would love to hear where everyone got their RB or poker names from. I will start by telling you about mine and I will try to keep it under 1000 words ( LOL Tc ).
Mine is actually the 2 nicknames I have had hung on me in my life. The first was BOATS.
When I was a young party animal I had a friend that would say ," whoah boats " as an exclamation instead of, " oh crap " for instance. I picked it up and moved back to my hometown. I was unloading bales of hay from the top of a semi load onto a hay rack and fell off, on the way down to the hay rack I yelled, "whoah boats" and the friend unloading with me fell out laughing. ( side note I landed in the soft hay and was fine.) thus it started being used by my friends and soon we were calling each other boats, eventually it came around and stuck on you know who.
Bigpoppa I aquired in 2002 right after the rap song came out. There was a young man of 23 at work with too many girlfriends ( a playa ) and one got pregnant while he was dating another. I came into the casino where we both worked and greeted him with a" hello there bigpoppa" ( he was 6ft 5 in and around 275 ). Same thing happened, it floated around for awhile and came back and stuck on me.
So when I started playing online I put em together, Bigpoppaboats. I have never had any problems with it being taken at any site yet.

Mine is simple. The way that it should actually read is Leah's L. The L stands for Lisa... my name. And Leah is my mother's name. Thus, I'm leahsl. Not very exciting but I think of her every time I play!

GmaJo(RB name) is because I had just found out was going to be a grandma, but my mom is "grandma" so I am called Gma instead. Jo is short for Joanne.
Mizz Behavin (FT name) is from a friend who is always saying, "Jo are you misbehavin again?" I used the Mizz because of double inuendo to name.
A lot of my friends call me dude because of the clothes I wear when I'm playing a gig. I love playing my Acoustic Guitar. Thus the name

Well I revield why my name is Phil922 yesterday, so only a few people know, but I will tell my secret.
My real name is Danny, not Phil. My brother and I used the name Phil McKenzi as a fake name when we were younger. So when I started doing online poker I decided I would have my screen name Phil. The 922 was kinda an accident, by birthday is 929 but on FT Phil929 was already taken so I put 922 and thats what Im stuck with Phil922.
I had grown up and never had a nickname. My son bought me a modem ummmm 15 years or so ago and I went into a chat program called Comic Chat. I had to have a "unique name". And we thought and thought.
My name is Odette. So we chose the name Swanny from The Princess Odette from Swan Lake Ballet. And then it became SwannySA as often Swanny was in use on various programs I registered for. SA is for South Australia.
I was reading a poker book when I decided to try playing poker online. When I was prompted for a screenname at fulltilt, i had no idea what to choose. So, I looked in the back of the book in the glossary and found the word monster- a very powerful hand. Then, I found the word nuts- The best possible hand, given a particular board. So, I took that and combined it with the age I was at the time and got.....

Mine was inspired a bit by Tom Dwan. When i created by FTP name it said I wouldn't be able to change it after i made it..and knowing that psychology is a big part of poker...i knew it was important to have the right name.
I know Dwan made his name Duurrr in part because he thought it would annoy people when they lost to him. Same thinking went into making mine except that I really wanted to make it personal...I didn't play somebody... I played you,lol. I find its a good name to put a person on tilt with just the right coaching.
I use a clown avatar on full tilt, but i found this great george bush pic dressed as a clown and covered in big oil buttons online...i figure that since he played the entire world that the iraq war was about WMDs...that he was a perfect choice as a playedyou avatar.
