I have blogged about my opinion on Full Tilt's late registration. I'm not happy with it. At least not under the present format. I'm not happy at all with how it is being done. Most of the people that I have talked with are also unhappy with the way that it presently works.
So. What can we do about it? Well, it would seem that a person complaining to Tilt won't have much affect at all. But, if they were to get a full barrage of comments from people out there using their site, they would be forced to listen to thier users.
Anyone who is unhappy with the way that the late registration is set up.....I encourage you to send an email to support@fulltiltpoker.com and let them know about it. I will not tell you what it is that you should say to them. Tell them if you think that the registration should be modified, shortened, or even done away with. We are the customers that use thier site, they must do what is necessary to make and keep us happy, at the risk of losing regular players to the competition.
Let's get Full Tilt to comply and run OUR poker site the way that we think it should be done.

I saw a private game that same day......$11 buy in, running over 2 hours and I could still register for it. It's good to have late registration, but I think 2-3 minutes is good enough.
I need to correct my posting...the email address that you want to send to is feedback@fulltiltpoker.com.
Sorry about the misinformation.
The more fish in the tank, the better it is.
Like it or not, late registration is here to stay. Full Tilt received enough requests to implement it in the first place to maintain competition with PokerStars. They won't be removing it.
How late registration functions is where the complaints are coming from. You must remember that this is a block of software code that implements a maze of IF...THEN....ELSE statements sprinkled with a hefty dose of TRUE/FALSE switches. This all has to be compiled and then tested for loop errors and correct results. Every modification requires the entire block to be recompiled and tested over and over again. And, in the end, ALL of this block has to be incorporated into the main program and must run in a nano-second so as not to impede the performance speed of the software....the 'LAG' you sometimes experience.
This is Full Tilt s first attempt at late registration and there are bugs, obviously. This will be tweaked over the next few series of updates, I'm sure, and you will begin to see some differences that will address your concerns. This is how software programming works. It's not as easy as flipping a switch.
i'm not fully against the late registration. but i do think that it needs to be modified to not make it a punishment for registering on time.
i understand that the change won't come overnight...but i hope to god that they do something with it. even if it is something simple like limiting the number of players who can register late. i just don't like playing in tournaments where 3/4 of the players wait until 8 or 9 minutes in to the thing to get in.
