Did it occur to you that he might have Ax and that you didnt need to risk your tourney life? Ever hear of the online "Curse of KK"?
Of course you knew how tight or loose this player was.
Some say you have to follow KK all the way... this time it bit you.
My advise: Put it behind you and move forward.

lucky River card for JAY, but I have folded KK when an Ace flops and someone raises.

Hard to fold - but KK can be very much a killer hand (as they all can be lol)

Honestly, I pegged him for a pocket pair in the range of TT-AA. I didn't expect him to push all-in with AA since he would risk losing me and AKs didn't even cross my mind as a hand he'd be willing to risk that much of his stack with. I know I'm gonna win this race more often than I lose it but I was still shocked at how loose and aggressive he played his hand. Once the flop hit like it did, I pretty much knew I was headed for the rail. If I had won the hand, however, I would have been not only the commanding chip leader of my table but the entire tournament which was down to 11 people at this time. I was playing for the win and I was already in the money since top 18 get paid.

runner runner flushs are standard for me. I don't think you could have got away from that hand. Not shoving preflop would have got it in after the flop, unless you can laydown KK on that board, then you might as well let the players walk all over you the rest of the tournament. Unless you think the has AA I don't think you cannot call there preflop

Even if you played this differently, there is no way an online poker player is going to let go of a royal flush draw. Hell, I don't think it would happen very often live either. What would you have done in his position, considering his hand preflop and the fact he outchipped you? Just a bad hand to get in a bad board. This is a beat but I wouldn't call it a bad beat. Just a bad luck hand. I also have folded KK after the flop but only twice before the flop, and that's alot of hands!! GL!!

I dont think I could have got away from this either

I dont think he would push with AA either so I know I am going to be in front
I dont like to gamble preflop much anymore but here I would have for sure
I also wouldnt have pushed in with AK either preflop

There was nothig you could do here.

Even if you slow play, villain is NOT coming off that hand. He's looking down the throat of a Royal Flush. Who in their right mind would ever fold that?

As for your hand.....the flop came in your favor. There would be no reason for you to believe that he had those 2 particular cards and your only move would have been to push post flop anyway. This was just pure bad luck.

Unless a craaaaazy set of circumstances occur (like an earthquake at the same time villian 5-bets) NEVER fold KK preflop on a $1 donkament. You just got unlucky there, chip leader shipped it with less than great odds. Roll the dice of variance!
