Requirements for Player to Player Transfers on FTP

Requirements for Player to Player Transfers on FTP

With the increase number of members posting bounties for upcoming tournament, the need to post this information becomes increasingly important to prevent any problems with bounties or even contests.

I sent an email to FTP asking them what exactly their requirements are to do a Player to Player transfer and below are those requirements:

You, the transferee, must meet all of the follow requirements below and the person you're sending the money to must meet the first two requirements listed

  • You must have registered your account information (including your full first and last name, mailing address, and phone number)
  • You must have only one active account.
  • The request must be a minimum of $5.00
  • You made a successful deposit if using Cash Transfer, Click2Pay, DirectPay24, iDeal, Local Bank Transfer, Moneybookers, NETELLER, or paysafecard.
  • It must have been at least 60 days since your first successful deposit if using ClickandBuy, Instadebit, Instant eChecks, Moneta, or Ultra Prepaid.
  • It must have been at least 90 days since your first successful deposit if using ELV, Maestro/Switch, MasterCard, Solo, or Visa

As long as both the sender and recipient meet the requirements there should be no problems with the transfer according to the representative that I corresponded with. However, in the case where you feel all the information is correct and minimum requirements are made you need to email Full Tilt at support@fulltiltpoker.com with the transaction number and they will be able to track down the issue.

Now that you know the requirements, before you post a bounty or even sponsor a contest that's payable on FTP you should verify that you meet those conditions set by FTP to avoid any complications with your payment.

For those of you that may not meet those requirements, there is no minimum requirements on Poker Stars to transfer between player to player and the minimum transfer amount is $.01.

Any other information that anyone might have, don't hesitate to share!

tiltaholic Aug 19, 2008 6:12 am

how do you transfer on Doyles?

Hughes4 Aug 19, 2008 6:12 am
Ive transferred alot among people who havent deposited.
astrogini Aug 19, 2008 6:14 am
According to what FT says, however... it's my understanding from past conversations withe members that if your account was set up prior to their new policy you can still make them with no problems.

I know several people, myself included, who have never deposited and have made numerous transfers with absolutely no problems.
astrogini Aug 19, 2008 6:15 am
As to how long their current policy is effective I have no clue. I'm only basing the information that she presented to me.

I have as well gini, just wondering if this was something new
DeltaQ Aug 19, 2008 6:35 am
I have had no direct (by me) deposits.... who would like to be a 1¢ transfer experimental monkey?
DeltaQ Aug 19, 2008 6:36 am
I started my account a year & half - 3 years ago... we'll see if I can send...

Also I want to point out that there is a set limit they do let you transfer and cut you off as what they explain as a courtosy amount., before your 60 or 90 days is up. This is the letter I got from them explaining it....

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support.

Unfortunately, your player transfer was declined because your account has an
insufficient deposit history with Full Tilt Poker.

This may be confusing as you've successfully sent transfers before. As a
courtesy to our players, we allow a certain dollar amount to be transferred by
each player without the intervention of customer support. Because you have
exceeded that amount, our standard transfer guidelines are now in effect for
your account.

To transfer funds from one player to another, the sender must meet all of the
requirements below, and the receiver must meet the first two requirements.

* You must have registered your account information (including your full first
and last name, and mailing address).
* You must have only one active account.
* Your request must be a minimum of $5.00.
* You made a successful deposit if using Cash Transfer, Click2Pay, DirectPay24,
iDeal, Local Bank Transfer, Moneybookers, NETELLER, or paysafecard.
* 60 days must have passed since your first successful deposit if using
ClickandBuy, Instadebit, Instant eChecks, Moneta, or Ultra Prepaid.
* 90 days must have passed since your first successful deposit if using ELV,
Maestro/Switch, MasterCard, Solo, or Visa.

Please review these eligibility requirements, and let us know if you have any
further questions about your transfer decline.

Also, feel free to check out the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section of our
website to see answers to a variety of commonly asked questions:

If the information you're looking for isn't in the FAQ, you're welcome to send
us an email. We're always here to help.

poppa_cool Aug 19, 2008 7:28 am

You don't have to have made a previous deposit. If you have a registered real money account anyone can transfer funds to you.

Thanks for the information.

So, the way I'm reading this is that you can build the biggest damn bankroll in history but if you want the cash you're S.O.L. on F.T.P. if you've never made a deposit.

Where is the reward ,for being a good poker player, if you can never get the money to celebrate and why bother having freerolls with real money cash rewards if you can never use the money anywhere else if you never make a deposit. That is just not right, somehow. Legal I'm sure, but not right.

That almost makes playing not worthwhile at all, If there's no reward, why bother? The action, yes, I do play poker because I enjoy the play but I enjoy playing lots of games that are not as hard to win.

With no way to gain or no reward (If I can't use it for what I want then it's the same as play money) it just doesn't feel the same(if somebody else can withdraw their money and I can not ,then it's like playing with oranges in an apple game. Where the oranges are rotten(can't eat them)

well, good luck on the tables! Railbirds card: Kh

I am telling everyone what FTP is saying.... I asked if there was some sort of "clause" that older members were included in when these (whenever they came out) rules.

I basically got a "it's none of your business" response from FTP, so it's an assumption that whether you can or cannot has to do with when your account was set up.

This wasn't intended to upset anyone and say they can or cannot do it, simply to point out what FTP says is their current rules to prevent the possibility of future problems.
Markie141 Aug 19, 2008 6:13 pm

1stKngBlckSldg :

You can do a check withdraw with no deposit at all on FTP ,

you can get your money out with no deposit at all ,

same as you can on PS by check ,

I have also transfered and I have never deposited ,

I built it the hard way lol , gl

poppa_cool Aug 19, 2008 6:13 pm

Yeah their rules really don't make sense. My previous comments were actually based on my experience with pokerstars, and it looks like I wrongly assumed that FT would be the same. So maybe I spoke out of turn. Everyone should probably just ignore my comments.

Thanks for the info!

peace.
